Great ending - I was worried it would be a cop out but it wasn’t at all.

It was never going to be oil - unless the scriptwriters could completely rewrite the geology of Norway without anyone noticing.

Spoilers It seemed that Errkiel and Michkel predicted the future with their drawings. Maybe it was a side effect of the experiments conducted upon them? I had guessed it wouldn't be a happy ending when I saw blondie was wearing sunglasses. I really enjoyed it all, the first thing on telly in ages that didn't have a cop put ending! The scenery was beautiful too.

But.
Why did Frank act as though he had done something wrong? What was his secret?

Is the original murderer still alive?

How did Jessan and Osvald die?

Why did Hanne not save her brother?

And other questions...

I was disappointed it was drugs that was the big secret.
I still think oil is more exciting regardless of Nowegian geology

But I was right about Hanne ending up with jostein, and am so gutted about Johann, who I thought would save the day.

And I was right about Hanne killing her bro, but like you said,why?

And is it true about a second series as the inconclusive ending would link in nicely....

My theory is that by leaving Errki in the cellar they cancelled out the rescuing of Mikkhel and had they let Errki go free then the curse would have ended as both brothers would be free. Or something.

Anyway I thought the ending was good - no 'leaving it open for a second series' which can often be really disappointing after investing in a series.

so did it turn out that Helgesen and the murder of the family was a complete red herring - although it did initially frighten Hanne I suppose.

Or was there a link - did Helgesen get a red eye and kill the family because of the 'kill or be killed' slogan?

I didn't notice at the end Mikkell/Erkki was drawing a picture of a car crash - though I don't think I'll go back to check!
