I guess I'm convincing myself it's less a horror film and more of a thriller.

Deux when 'The Bridge was first on, the guy who played Martin was on Breakfast TV one day and they asked him to say something in Danish. He said 'I'll have a cup of tea' and it sounded exactly like a Liverpudlian. Uncanny. It's all to do with the slurring and the glottal stops in Danish.

(And yes, Scouse is a kind of stew, the name comes from a dish Scandinavian sailors used to eat)

I was enjoying it up until the dead woman in the shower. Police turn up and put her in bag, conclude the C.O.D as suicide within an hour or so. No Post Mortem examination. No forensics at the hotel, no witness statements taken, no Wallander-like detective poking around afterwards, no interviews. This is a place where how many murders recently took place? Totally implausible.

Also I can't believe the relationship between main character and the man she's engaged to, (I'm awful with names). The one trying to buy the resort... They are so different and he is so utterly unlikable. I just can't believe they would have ever been attracted to each other to begin with

Yes Spiral is good. The series about the two drug dealing brothers who headed the drug gang, seemed to be a rip off of the first series of "The Wire" I felt...

But it is very watchable and well acted IMO. Anyone know when the new series starts?

I think I looked for earlier series of Spiral after I watched the one on BBC4 and I did find it somewhere but I think it was Amazon. At the time it wasn't on Netflix. Must have another look.

They're all available on DVD I believe.

I have really enjoyed this. Not sure what I'll do now (but thanks deux will check that c4 one out). I've never heard of spiral. I want to see it! 35 minutes to go. Dh is in a and e having his head glued after rugby (!) I'm sorry but if he comes home in the middle of it and I have to be all sympathetic and stuff I won't be happy!!!
