I agree with everyone that it seems like they are trying to tie up the dullest storylines in the history of EE with something exciting - but it's just not happening!

The L and cancer storyline has pissed me off. ** Probably because I'm watching my mum go through it. Realistically I know some people have a breast lump or skin cancer and it's removed easily and they are fine.

Caught up last half from last night, the cancer story is just stupid. I mean come on! Like someone said only of tiny lump, spotted earlier taken out; blitzed and not spread. But if "only" something caughtvreally fast why has she been "battering" it for what 9m??? we all know she just had a baby instead

Re the cancer storyline, a member of my family had bowel cancer, it was operated on quickly & then they had chemo for 3 months ( no sickness or hair loss) hardly anyone (including family) knows this person had cancer & if you had seen them during that time you wouldn't have guessed.

You're right Nancy. Cancer comes in various forms and isn't always obviously noticeable to others.
That said, It felt clumsy for Linda to just blurt out "Cancer" without any further explanation. I find the whole idea of keeping an illness like that a secret from your family really bizarre and unbelievable.

I already hate the Bex/ Mr thin lips talks in cliches Price story line.

It's true Nancy I do admit it annoyed me because of watching my mum.
She had lump in neck which went with AB but then came back. She was well. They only biopsied because it wouldn't go and they found cancer cells. A scam showed she was riddled in ovary and peritoneum and diagnosed with cancer of unknown primary. Started chemo few days before Christmas and was hairless by new year. By some miracle (look up CUP) she is in remission.

Maybe we should forward this thread to the Eastenders team then 80's, sounds like a great idea to me!

I wondered if it might have been, coincidentally of course, their son showing up for an impromptu visit (after all nothing seems to be too far-fetched at the moment), Karen did say she'd go and check on them but Bernie made her stay with her. I might have imagined it but I think Karen said the younger boys were with their dad for the weekend? I really hope it's johnny - could do with him disappearing forever for a while!
