Effectively, they both now work for Fi. We don't know how much they sold the freehold for but my guess is that it was at a below market rate because they were desperate for money and had no other source. Also think that Fi and her company want to somehow force out the Carter's, and then sell the land or redevelop the Vic for a huge profit.

Looked up freehold pubs for sale and the cheapest ones were 200k +. Even below market rate they should have made a decent amount. Especially since they're in a prime location next to a tube and such a popular local pub.
