So, only a matter of a few weeks left before we can all, once more, immerse ourselves in the societal & economic dynamics of 18th century rural Cornwall perve at Aiden Turner's snug breeches and clenched jawline

Anyone else excited??? Am really going to make a vair serious effort to actually pay attention to the plot this time - it's something to do with tin mining, I think [hesitant]

The older brother is probably about 30. And he has pretty eyes. But I suspect it'll be the boyband brother who gets his kit off, not him.

They look a bit too wet behind the though don't they?

I want to see someone who looks like they've been through a few battles defending their fair maiden's honour...

BadTasteFlump · 12/06/2017 14:55

wet behind the though Grin

Insert ears as appropriate....

ArieltheMermaid1720 · 12/06/2017 16:36

Yes the brothers are very pretty. Is that a new Geoffrey Charles?

ProseccoBitch · 12/06/2017 16:40

If I remember rightly, in the book Ross wants Aunt Agatha to go and live at Nampara when he finds out how badly George is treating her, but she refuses.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 16:42

Geoffrey Charles is about 5 years older.

Sunnymeg · 12/06/2017 18:14

It's a pity that they have ever written Jud out, I was so looking forward to Phil Davis moaning about 'Clarence'. Also it is stated at the end of The Angry Tide that Valentine is Ross's son although we won't get to that until the end of series 4.

ElspethFlashman · 12/06/2017 20:09

Peter and Jane did a recap on their Facebook page - hilarious.

diddl · 12/06/2017 20:22

That recap was more entertaining than thr programme!

What does everyone see in Elizabeth??

And why did the Aunt curse the baby knowing that he's Ross's?

Also guessing that Elizabeth's difficult birth means no more children?

SapphireStrange · 13/06/2017 11:07

Is the doctor back? (haven't watched it yet).

He's quite hot.

haveacupoftea · 13/06/2017 13:18

This thread has given me such a laugh. Only on MN would you find people empathising with George Warleggan 😂

Did anyone else give a little cheer when it looked like Elizabeth had died, only to be disappointed when Dr Enys smiled when he saw her and it turned out she was still bloody alive Blush

SapphireStrange · 13/06/2017 14:06

empathising with George Warleggan

Is that what they call it these days? Grin

squoosh · 13/06/2017 14:10

The doctor and his new wife are so pretty and grime repellent. And blonde.

Yes poor George and his sad big lidded eyes.

ShelaghTurner · 13/06/2017 16:08

This series sucks already. I've never shouted at the tv so much as when Dwight and Caroline got married Angry. It's wrong Angry

You were only spared my rant on Sunday as the mobile site was down and I couldn't post!

MaQueen · 13/06/2017 16:17

Why is it wrong Shelagh???

Wasn't Dwight rescued from prison in France in the books and brought home by Ross and one of the Martins? And then he married Caroline.

ShelaghTurner · 13/06/2017 17:28

I don't want to spoil it but yes, the wedding takes place when Dwight is home for good and it's so much more powerful for that.

If they're going to deviate so much from the books then fine, of course. But I wish they'd say they were 'loosely inspired by', rather than 'based on'!

BadTasteFlump · 14/06/2017 09:37

Yes Shelagh I find myself becoming irrationally irked when they completely change the plot. I almost wish I hadn't read the books first now, it always spoils it.

beguilingeyes · 17/06/2017 08:22

I've been waiting for your response Shelagh, it's making me crazy now. Dwight delivering Valentine? Ross peering in at windows.? About five minutes of that was from the book. And Demelza is still whiny and awful.
