So, only a matter of a few weeks left before we can all, once more, immerse ourselves in the societal & economic dynamics of 18th century rural Cornwall perve at Aiden Turner's snug breeches and clenched jawline

Anyone else excited??? Am really going to make a vair serious effort to actually pay attention to the plot this time - it's something to do with tin mining, I think [hesitant]

I thought it was a fairly good start considering how pants the first half of S2 was. I love Dr Enys (?) though, in fact I think I prefer him to Ross now.

What's happened to Jud though? Did he run off in the books or was the actor not available for this series?

BadTasteFlump · 12/06/2017 11:50

Ross is starting to get on my noobs a bit with all his dramatic posing and declaring he has things to discuss without telling Demelza what they are. She needs to give him a kick up the arse (not easy in those times I realise...).

He just didn't do it for me last night Sad. Maybe he just had too many clothes on...

squoosh · 12/06/2017 12:03

We can only hope he strides around topless next week in a bid to regain your affections BadTaste.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 12:04

I was wondering about Judd too. I remember him being dead, and then not dead and I was wondering if I'd forgotten a 'dead again' scenario.

BadTasteFlump · 12/06/2017 12:18

Squoosh I remember reading a while ago that Jedd's character had been axed - you haven't forgotten a dead again scenario...

I'll give Ross the rest of the series to get his pecs and win me back Grin

ElspethFlashman · 12/06/2017 13:03

Ross has been an entitled arrogant dick for a while now. He certainly was no different last night. What was that stupid "bargain" with George? It made no sense! Don't abuse them in a non-specific way and I'll stop bugging you....or else! Or else what, Ross? You'll breathe heavily in his general direction? You'll glower at him even more? 😂

All George did to the young lad was hire a governess which seemed to be actually working out well. And honestly? The Aunt literally cursing a new born baby was horrible. I'd have fucked her off back to her room too, poisonous old bag. Why should I have to listen to that in my own house just moments after my child was born? Nope.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 13:09

The aunt really is an awful poisonous old bag. But I love her. They're all so terrified she'll put a hex on them.

WorshipTheGourd · 12/06/2017 13:13

'Oh, Raaarsss, Raaarsss' - cue Demelza looking sad again...

Elizabeth is terribly wooden. The only time I've seen her act is last night when she looked apprehensive as George came in to see the newborn baby.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 13:15

Does anyone else think that in a certain light Demelza has a look of Ken Dodd about her?

ElspethFlashman · 12/06/2017 13:23

Funny thing is I notice Ross wasn't suggesting the Aunt come live with him, was he??? Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 12/06/2017 13:27

Me too. She reminds me of my nan Grin I fully aspire to be an Aunt Agatha when I'm in my nineties as well, sitting in a corner of some relative who doesn't really want me there and generally just not giving a fuck.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 13:28

I did notice that! Grin

Although she's probably like the ravens in the Tower, the walls of Trenwhatsit would probably fall in if she was removed.

CeeBeeBee · 12/06/2017 13:51

Well I went off Ross after the very bad thing,
I like Morwenna with Geoffrey Charles. I think the young lad who plays him is superb.

George always looks as though he's sniffing for farts.

What was the name of Demelza's bro? Was it Drake?

MacarenaFerreiro · 12/06/2017 14:03

Drake's Demelza's brother who came to summon her. The other one was Samuel.

ElspethFlashman · 12/06/2017 14:05

Don't worry Pike plenty of room on the Bench of Shame. I occasionally find myself thinking that George is all bark and no bite, and probably much easier to actually live with than Rawwwwws.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 14:09

Samuel is attractive enough but will be a total buzz kill. Banging on about God, and hot gospelling morning, noon and night. I sense Drake might veer from the path of chastity and godliness.

BadTasteFlump · 12/06/2017 14:33

He does look like Beaker Grin Can't see Ken Dodd in Demelza though..

I think I've gone off Ross since he did his bad thing - I always loved him for his integrity Sad. When they showed the recap of him telling Demelza to get out of his way (so he can go and shag Elizabeth) it reminded me that I don't like him very much anymore. Bit of a shame though, not many men on tv give me the tingle....

BadTasteFlump · 12/06/2017 14:34

And I know the two brothers are supposed to be the new beefcake, but I struggle to fancy anyone who looks younger than some of my shoes.

squoosh · 12/06/2017 14:38

They are very young. They need some older eye candy. Uncle Warleggan isn't really doing it for me.

Oh Pike, I might have guessed. You probably fancied Judd too.
