I looked up pub freeholds and in London they start at 200k or so. Didn't they need about 6k for the dog? So must be a stash somewhere.

Is Michelle going to pretend she is working when she isn't as she can't face telling people she couldn't get a job in a shop? I hope not as she is a straightforward character. Its all a bit odd though isn't it, a soap about getting a job in a dept store, doing an exam, having diabetes.

But new people moving into Stacey's old house, hopefully more interesting and I'm really hoping they will be older people as they have more layers and to break the EE habit of new loud brash aggressive people but are salt of the earth types underneath harbouring a terrible secret

I agree re food and fruit etc. I get why she doesn't want to say about dire financial situation but even my friends would ask for biscuit or fruit when visiting if they were peckish.

Ilost, i think that the producer is more interested in making a' public information films' than a soap.
Everyone Dee has met has had words of wisdom , the young mum about 'not being too,proud ' too ask for help and claim benefits, the older lady saying that 'its never too old' to study, ( even she is unware of the new grading systems) other one at the job centre trying to,help..etc etc. we get it! Although if i were in a queue i bet nobody would befriend me or buy me a tea!
