Looking forward to watching this tonight. Feel it might be one to watch with your teenagers..

I was disappointed it wasn't longer. I would have like to have seen more of the character of the parents, the children's home lives, the boys in that house and how it affected them, what was behind the behaviour of the officials who should have helped sooner. I'd also have liked to see broader characters for the men and how they were in their other lives. Also their wives. So many people affected by such a sad story.

Would you tell a young girl to shut up and listen?

Eh? Confused What an odd question.

Telling some one to give it a rest is a slightly milder way of telling them to shut up. You are entitled to do so and I am entitled to ask you please not to.

I am baffled as to who I am stopping from posting.

Also, at the top of each post there is a username. If you don't want to read that poster's posts, you can scroll past. It takes a fraction of a second. Everyone has the right to post as long as they are within the guidelines. I will decide if and when I want to post on this or any other thread.

Hussey I'd screenshot that and, euff, I don't know- you'd hope that social services would be able to support her or that there'd be some sanction for that horrid woman.

hussey that is deportable. Call the police.

I can't fathom why anybody would want to go round there? For what purpose? Hope the poor girl is ok.

Leanback · 21/05/2017 15:01

Not deportable Hmm deplorable.

That's horrible . What does she get out of being such a cow?

Keel · 21/05/2017 15:05

Hussey, that's horrible. Why on earth would anyone do that. That poor girl has been through enough. I agree you need to report it to police and notify Facebook.

FannyWisdom · 21/05/2017 17:50

I wonder if anyone is rallying pitchforks at the child rapists?

Probably not. A victim being victimised yet again.

Groovee · 21/05/2017 18:02

Hussey that's just awful. I'd report the stupid witch to the police. Amber has the right to live a free life without having her address fired about.

Imbroglio · 21/05/2017 18:04

Apologies if this has already been posted. Petition to recognise Sara Rowbotham for her role in bringing these perpetrators to justice:

I binge watched all three episodes this afternoon. I consider myself a tough cookie, work in a high school, have linked with agencies regarding child protection issues many times.

I cried, and that's good. We should cry and rage at this. Those girls, and God knows how many others, and boys, have been let down so badly by society.

Shameful.

HelenaDove · 22/05/2017 01:12

Hussey thats horrific. That cow needs reporting to the police. Angry

Amber has been through enough without some attention seeker pulling that shit.

CeeBeeBee · 22/05/2017 22:24

I very rarely sign petitions with Change.org but I did this time.

here it is again.

Yankey812 · 22/05/2017 23:45

On the first episode when she (holly) said that she had already had sex before did she mean with one of the abusers or did she mean she had already had consensual sex?

CeeBeeBee · 22/05/2017 23:59

She was at that time telling the police about the first time she was raped, abuse the takeaway, so when she said she'd had sex before, I thought she meant consensual experiences. Didn't she say that it "hurt" because she'd only done it a couple of times meaning that she wasn't experienced?

Elendon · 23/05/2017 08:58

It hurt because she didn't want to do it. In other words, Holly was raped.

OutToGetYou · 23/05/2017 09:28

I expect she wasn't being too technical or thoughtful about what she said - she knew it hurt, she may not have known that was because it was a violet rape and may have been blaming herself to some extent, hence the "because I'd only done it a couple of times before" - meaning she should have been 'better at it' so it wouldn't hurt (in her head, obviously this is not right, but you know, we all blame ourselves a bit for things other people do).

I thought her previous experiences were with her boyfriend.

CeeBeeBee · 23/05/2017 12:08

Just to clarify, I thought by saying she only did it a couple of times before, she meant it was consensual before and that it wasn't the case this time.

Elendon · 23/05/2017 14:44

OutToGetYou

She was 14, same age as those who were at last night's concert in Manchester. A child.

OutToGetYou · 23/05/2017 14:54

Elendon

"She was 14, same age as those who were at last night's concert in Manchester. A child."

I know. Sorry, what is your point?

Dawnedlightly · 23/05/2017 22:43

Sara, the sexual health worker, is on First Dates now!

NecklessMumster · 23/05/2017 22:43
