I read somewhere that both incarnations are going to be working together, Girl.

We really enjoyed it was a steven episode so i was meh but I like Bill love matt lucas (cant remember his character name) Think it will be a good series.

Really Empress? Well they've done it with the Doctors so why not with the Masters I guess.

We enjoyed it, first time for quite a while. I hope the next Doctor isn't a woman now the companion is gay as it will be the romance thing all over again. I have watched DW since the very beginning, although I was very young when it started, honest! I've had this MN name since 2003, two years before the reboot (superior emoticon).

Loved last night's episode. Was pleasantly surprised by bill. Thought I'd hate her but I thought she was great. The writing was a lot better than it has been with PC. I've always liked him but thought the writing let him down in the past. And it didn't help that I never liked Clara. Have high hopes for this series

I like Matt Lucas' character too.

I always think the companion works better when there isn't romantic element anyway. I sodding hated Rose and the cow eyes at Tennant. Donna was my favourite ever companion and Bill looks to be shaping up as a good one too.

I also really hope River Song doesn't make an appearance as I flippin' loathe that character (although I appear to be in a minority with that opinion).

I hope it's not 'them' either. I love Capaldi as an actor generally, but don't think he's been a good doctor. But then I felt the same about David Tennant.

Haven't watched it yet so read only half of the thread in case of spoilers. I love Peter Capaldi if he were reading a phone book in everything and he is my favourite Doctor. I couldn

Loved Bill. I was worried she was going to be loud and obnoxious like Amy Pond but she was an excellent curious and interesting new companion.

I also liked Matt Lucas.

Really excited about this series but I will be sad to see Peter Capaldi go as I think he has been a good Doctor.

Oh and agree with the above, PC was given some terrible stories and sidelined for Clara. In episodes where he was allowed to shine, like the one where he was trapped in the time loop in the castle, he did.

Esme, Matt Smith has already been the Doctor so not rally unknown 😉
