I'm not sure I'd be keen on a female doctor, shame they've already used Catherine Tate, that could have been fun. 😄

I am just catching up with the Galifrey Base forum. Some of the views towards a female doctor are terrible. Misogyny at its very worst.

I am very excited now, and looking forward to finding out. I have no objection at all to it being a woman, just as long as it's the right one for the job.

I think that after all this hype, it will be a disappointment and an anticlimax if it turns out to be Kris Marshall. It would certainly be more exciting to have Phoebe Waller Bridge. But whoever it is, I shall give them a chance and keep watching.

I was a bit when David Tennant took it on, but he certainly grew on me very quickly!

Yes to: phoebe WB, Jodie Whittaker, Tamsin Greig, Natalie Tena, Rhys Ifans, Dev Patel, Paul Kaye, David Thewlis, Paul McGann (not quite sure how that might be managed, but as we have a William Hartnell doctor at Xmas, I presume anything is possible.

Just no to Kris Marshall. No range. Dull casting.

Hopefully not Kris Marshall find him so bland!!

Not fussed if it is a woman doctor as long as it's not done just for the shock it will cause sort of thing.

Tim Key. There's not a chance of that one happening but he's a good actor, has a great voice for speeches and does weird very well and he's cute
The thing about a woman Doctor is that if one is cast it will be seen to happen because they've basically been told to do it rather than taking a good female actor into consideration because Chibnall could see her as the Doctor.
