I'm really looking forward to the new series tomorrow! Just watched the last two of the first series - I'll be interested to see how it pans out, as I'm not too sure how it will work 'outside' of the car....! It's one of the few comedy shows that makes me laugh, and it's got a lovely 'gentle' feel to it (or maybe I'm just getting a bit old and soppy....)

Anyone else?

They did look as if they were having a fun day out at the safari park!
so funny when he tried to ring them up to report the monkey and the voice over on the phone was spot on to the type of thing you would hear if you tried to ring out of hours.
The george michael song at the end of that episode was very fitting.

DP also wondered if the fact there were only 4 episodes meant there would be a Christmas special with them setting up the Christmas section and him asking her to move in with him

We are getting our fix by watching phoenix nights, which we have never watched, Kayleigh actress has a small role in that too.

I didn't realise that song Kayleigh on episode 4, was by Marillion in the 80's. I looked what it was about too, was quite shocked. Sort of how the song came about.

I'm really hoping people are right about the Christmas Team being the second half of the season.

As episode 4 you'll really be screaming at your TV. A bit like episodes 2 when they nearly kiss and then Kayleigh gets a call about the inhaler.

I wonder if Peter Kay's wife minds him doing that kind of stuff. Especially as Kayleigh is in a lot of his stuff.

The last episode reminded me the joys about when you're first together and you have no idea how the other person feels. As I was squealing DH predicted it right and said they'll never do what I want.

At the end I was like bastard, but I've watched it 3 times since and resurrected it from the deleted list.

I think episode 2 is meant to be a piss take from his comedy tour, when he does the joke about taking the unknown relative home, the drunk person keeps saying straight on.

It's on the one at Blackpool I think.

I noted that Phoenix Nights, Max & Paddy, were all 2 series. So our only hope is 4 episodes for Christmas.

DH is so practical, the ending on ep 4, he's like they're all scrap cars. Though not sure why you'd walk over cars or the road Grin dramatic effect.

I think the walking over cars thing is a spook of the final scene in crocodile Dundee where he walks over people's heads to get to the reporter and everyone cheers and claps. it sounds like whoever posted this was having a little cry as there is an occasional sniff!
