Peter Kay's Car Share :) (Spoiler Alert!!!)

I'm really looking forward to the new series tomorrow! Just watched the last two of the first series - I'll be interested to see how it pans out, as I'm not too sure how it will work 'outside' of the car....! It's one of the few comedy shows that makes me laugh, and it's got a lovely 'gentle' feel to it (or maybe I'm just getting a bit old and soppy....)

Anyone else?

I watched it with DP last night then again on my own this morning. DP was like duhhhh didn't you realise??? Grin

If you like the music in Carshare you should go to the Peter Kay's Dance for Life events.

Like race for life but you dance for 3 hours. It is like being back at the school disco in the 80s plus lots of people dress up for it like they are back in the 80s guilty of that

Sian even hosts it with Peter.

Hopefully there will be another load of them next year. I went to the one in Sheffield.

I really hope the lack of episodes is because the BBC are going to turn it into something else. But I think the music makes it edgy too.

I'm so excited I might get the last two episodes from iplayer, naughty I know, but I can't wait!

I loved chuffing on a cigarette, then taking the inhaler before high notes.

We spent most of it trying to decide if it was Peter painted blue.

The music is so spot on - my sons struggle as they are unaware of the delights of Klime fisher, Marillion and most of the others on there.
Phil Collins was on the radio - to think how huge he was a solo artist and with Genesis too! easy listening was in!
if you google the episodes on wiki, there is a list of the songs played.
so many i've forgotten over the years.

Loved this but was screaming with frustration at the end! Even DH had a silly grin on his face when John was climbing over the cars!

Soundtrack is spot on nostalgia for someone of my age! Wink

I thought Elsie was peter Kay, but I love that he was the GOT guy. I understood the accent - I'm amazed that posters struggled with that. The S shaped vagina line was hilarious!

I watched on iplayer and i did struggle with Elsie's accent - not sure why as i dont normally with accents , but maybe it was because she had a drink too? still, it was funny - her face when John mentioned her three written warnings - probably for gossip, although she doesnt gossip of course..( we all know the types..)

2014, i have watched them all, but dh is watching the old fashioned way so i am seeing them again! ( hence we could have subtitles on and i got the jokes a bit more on tuesday)
They are good, but was disappointed there are only 4.

Elsie is your worst nightmare - there is always someone who says ' i knew about that months ago!' only because she was listening in to everyone else's private conversations! We all know an Elsie or two in life.

I've watched them all but now wish I hadn't so I would have them to look forward to! Agree that the Elsie episode wasn't the best, but three and four are brilliant. They'd better be making some more!
