I'm really looking forward to the new series tomorrow! Just watched the last two of the first series - I'll be interested to see how it pans out, as I'm not too sure how it will work 'outside' of the car....! It's one of the few comedy shows that makes me laugh, and it's got a lovely 'gentle' feel to it (or maybe I'm just getting a bit old and soppy....)

Anyone else?

Anyone think it could be more than just good acting between them?

GandolfBold · 12/04/2017 12:24

I don't think so. They have been friends since college.

There was a bit last night where she started singing and he joined in, which made her start giggling. You could tell that was genuine laughter - I think its that that makes it so funny.

coldcanary · 12/04/2017 12:32

Yep it looked like she genuinely didn't know he was going to start singing in that scene! Her face made me laugh Grin

Redglitter · 12/04/2017 14:41

I can't find it on iplayer. Helllllllp

frazzled3ds · 12/04/2017 15:06

Use the search on iplayer and look for Peter Kay's Car Share and it should be in there :)

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 12/04/2017 16:13

dottypotter · 12/04/2017 16:35

its only funny cos its peter kay

The80sweregreat · 12/04/2017 18:00

binged watched up to episode 4 today, a small mumsnet reference was made..
i love this show, nothing wrong with a bit of Klimie fisher and Enigma , but my user name gives away my 'cheesy pleasures' in the music stakes. the music, the stupid ads, i think i prefer all of that to the actual banter! Not as good as the first lot, but its still a comedy classic this show and has some real funny one liners. Not even remotely northern but i get it all..

BlueKarou · 12/04/2017 20:55

Binged all 4 eps today. For some reason I had told myself there were 6, so it was a shock when it all ended, and to end like that!! I think episode 3 was my favourite.

Raahh · 12/04/2017 21:11

I have just been watching episode 2.

I couldn't believe who the actor playing Elsie was Grin

Raahh · 12/04/2017 21:30

OMG episode 3Grin

Maudlinmaud · 12/04/2017 21:59

It's not over until The Carpenters sing We've only just begun 🎶

Misplacedcell · 12/04/2017 22:59

Great that they were student pals in real life and now still work together professionally.

WatchMeSoar · 12/04/2017 23:07

Well I've just finished it, wondering whether there will be two more in a months time

leccybill · 12/04/2017 23:10

I read today that Sian Gibson asked Peter Kay if he'd rather someone 'good' like Sheridan Smith played Kayleigh!

GinSwigmore · 13/04/2017 00:33

Are there really only four episodes not six this time around? Gutted Sad
Ep 3 also my favourite, cos I have had Knowsley monkeys on my bonnet
and breaking the car ariel
Will they finish with a Xmas special then?

Raahh · 13/04/2017 00:44

Gin we've experienced the ariel breaking monkeys too,Grin. Always a highlight. They are very fond of wind screen wipers. Not been for a couple of years though. Made me want to visit- but maybe borrow a car Grin

I was beside myself with the monkey sat in the back seat with the seat belt on. Grin

GinSwigmore · 13/04/2017 01:46

That was genius Raahh
I laughed out loud enough to wake snoring DP. Do you think they have filmed episodes 5 and 6 for a Xmas day/New Year's Day special or is it just wishful thinking on my part?!
Red light spells danger is a Tune. I am Blush to admit it but fell for that track when Top Gear covered it (I know) Jeremy drummed and that screechy bloke who sang I believe in a thing called love did vocals.

Jaynebxl · 13/04/2017 02:54

Watched ep1 tonight and loved it. Dh and I cheered at the end when he said he'd pick her up! Would have binge watched the rest but dh has to get up for work tomorrow! Really intrigued to know why everyone is so shocked at how the series ends.

Kitsandkids · 13/04/2017 07:13

Ooooh just wait til you watch it Jayne. Just you wait!

sucue · 13/04/2017 07:53

How come they're all on iplayer? Is that a usual thing that I don't know about?

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2017 08:05

i sang along to all the songs, knew all the words!
Billy Ocean, Marillion - a soundtrack to my youth..
John is such a plank though..
I must admit , i did shed a tear.

The80sweregreat · 13/04/2017 10:31

Christmas has been mentioned nearly every episode - so i really hope there is one./

leccybill · 13/04/2017 10:49

They did it in series 1 aswell, showed the first one then put the rest on i player.
Good move I think, we all love a good binge-watch!
