I loved the first season, so really looking forward to this, especially seeing Uhtred again -v swashbuckling. I never watched GoT so I have nothing to compare it to. (GoT fans seem not to like this so much.) I do like it's historical basis.

I've now finished all the books! I don't think it will spoil future viewing as I'll be fascinated to see how they adapt them for TV

Wow! You've got through them quickly. I haven't started The Burning Land yet as I've got a couple of other books I want to get through first. I think I will go ahead and read them all, especially if you think it won't spoil me for any future tv series (fingers crossed in hope).

I nearly went to a free screening of Macbeth (with Mark Rowley/Finan in the title role. It's in York but train & somewhere to stay for the night would have made it a very expensive "free" event. So I cancelled my ticket so someone else would get the chance. All sold out now.

I've been ill and unable to do much else for the past couple of weeks Bagel and nothing much on TV at the moment.

I do think it will be interesting to see how the later books are adapted - at least, I hope we get the chance!
