Leaving aside the towel scenes (WTF), there's some weird time lags and jumps...

In the seconds it took Jack to walk away from Mick in market round the corner to R&R (why is it still there/called that/not used any more) - Mick had nipped home and found his sports gear, Vincent having been told of the deaths, also decided to go for a run in some eye bogglingly tight running gear. Mick and Vincent then meet at the park. Is there some sort of time portal between the Square and the park?!

Still loving that Max is back and thank God for Dot finally talking to the kids properly...

I imagine that Jack doesn't want to have to say the word "dead" because he doesn't want to admit it to himself. "Gone away and never coming back" is somehow less final than dead and I guess he needs to get his own head in order. At least he did say they were never coming back.

As an aside, I always thought R&R stood for Rest and Recuperation. I think I missed the years that it was owned by Ronnie and Roxy so never made the connection!

I heard Mick say the other night he gave Sharon the night off.

So does Sharon have some little part time job working in the Vic? Hardly a great salary I'd imagine?

I have just read that during one of the times Jack and Ronnie owned R&R, he used it to sell drugs. That makes him an even bigger hypocrite re how he treated Roxy.

Yes, they did boxing in the gym when ronnie took it over.

ding Bex was conceived in the Jackson's, I clearly remember Martin legging it after and Sonia crying on the stairs. Horrible old Martin!

Jim Branning was an awful man who mistreated his children. Wonder why they named anything after him.

yep, Jim branning was awful to his kids - but Dot forgave him and married him,( I always found that a bit odd if I am honest, although clearly is more forgiving than I would be)
I wonder if the Branning sister will now show up this has happened to Jack.

Carol is off biking around the world, seeing as she didn't come back when her daughter was going through cancer prevention/ treatment, I doubt it!

There's another sister, I think she's called Susie, who had a fling with Phil. And another one called Avril.

Jack has been a complete slimeball in his time AND he buggared off for years, so I never could understand how he got to suddenly be the good parent vs Roxy.

Towelgate is one of the most bizarre subplots I've ever seen. Has Michelle forgotten her Dad went to prison for stealing the charity fund? They were not a luxury towel kind of family.

I don't get why Michelle is back they have made her as boring as anything. I expected a explosive storyline but all she seems to be doing is winding up Stacey.
I still can't get over the wedding. I don't know what this new producer is trying to do killing or getting rid off good characters. I hope he's going to bring in some good ones to replace them!!

Yeah Jim was a real monster in the older episodes. And very racist too. They turned him into a much nicer old man in later episodes.

ding Personality transplants are an EE speciality. Racist Jim became best friends with Patrick, Billy the Bully, who used to beat young Jamie, became a meek, family man character. Louise the Teenage Witch is now a really caring girl. I'm sure there are more.
