A new thread for the new year Smile

Will the truth come out about how Roxy and Ronnie died yesterday?
Will the new exec producer lose his obsession with bins?
Has Max really forgiven Jane, Ian and Phil?
What secret does the new 'Chelle have?
Will Johnny Sausage learn to act?
Is Denise going to go through with the adoption?
What's going to happen with Lee?
What are your hopes for EE this year?

Come and discuss here!

HateSummer Yes the resemblance is uncanny Grin

Hohumming · 06/01/2017 13:44

Michelle has forgotten all about her daughter too - literally no mention of either of her children and nobody else has mentioned them either!

JustAnotherSilentOldNumber · 06/01/2017 15:00

I noticed that they actually ate some of the meal yesterday, rather than pushing it around the plate.

Akire · 06/01/2017 15:06

So ageee about the towels! Was t Arthur a bin/road sweeer and Pauline worked in laundrette. Can't imagine them having towels anywhere more exotic than market or woolies.

Akire · 06/01/2017 15:20

While I remember who had been running Arthur's allotment? I remember someone took over someone's when they got ill...was it Patrick's? But he woulnt have known Arthur or was it Charlie's and Stacey mum did. All rather a blur!

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 15:42

Patrick has had that allotment and Stacey;s mum Jean too ( she met the new fella she went off with at the allotment)
it all goes on there, they go there when they are on the run or need a bolthole. mostly anything apart from growing veg it seems.
Didn't Nu chelle n martin clear that patch in double quick time? I was impressed.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 06/01/2017 15:52

Remember when Martin was growing cannabis on the allotment?? Or was that a dream I had...

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 15:57

eh? I really do not remember that at all! ( not before the watershed anyway)
I always thought it was Mark that was the tearaway kid ( with chelle not that far behind)
Sonia's rows with Pauline were always good value, when she broke that fruit bowl it was the end of an era. Now all they have is a double fronted drawer.
Its a wonder little Annie, Mary the punk girls kid hasn't shown up - they all usually come back to the square in one form or another.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 06/01/2017 16:04

It was years ago so Martin would have been youngish. I think there was someone else involved but can't remember. I remember the episode where the bobbies showed up and caught him.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 16:10

The old martin maybe?
so many plot lines, I remember old episodes being shown on Gold once and I had forgotten so much and so many faces too. So much has gone on over the years.

CorporalNobbyNobbs · 06/01/2017 16:11

Oh yeah old headed Martin. I checked wiki and it's true. He was aided by Asif!

tobee · 06/01/2017 16:22

Talking of extras, a few posts back, my sister and I volunteered to be extras many moons ago on a very low budget film. It was set in a pub (our scene). We turned up, looked at the other volunteer extras, decided they all looked like numpties and we would wipe the floor with them, show them how it was done. All we had to do was stand amongst a crowd and pretend to chat. You guessed it, we were hopeless. Couldn't even do that. The "numpties" were brilliant, completely natural. One got promoted to walk to the bar. Iirr Craig Fairbrass was in it.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 16:28

Asif! Yes, old Martin was up to no good then.
They were all such tearaways. (Apart from when Sharon got engaged to a priest for a few months)
Babe is the only real baddie at the moment. Lee sort of is ( by default). Steven beale had potential baddie, but he has gone off the boil and jayne is even civil o him now! Max should be a bad one, but isnt. Its not like the old days! ( ponders more evil characters to appear, bring back janine)

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 16:34

Tobee, goes to show its not easy blending in ! Promoted to walking to a bar! Do,you get paid more if they make you walk about?

I would like to give it a go though. If Jonathan Ross"s mum can do it..

Craig Fairbrass, he was in EE once.
He went on to do Cliffhanger, then disappeared.

tobee · 06/01/2017 16:48

We certainly didn't get paid at all.

Wasn't Tracey aka Jane Slaughter, the doyenne of extras (with very honourable mention to Big Ron and the milkman, rip) dressed in Elizabethan finery? I was expecting to see her playing Sir Toby Belch in a marvellous Queen Vic enactment of act 2, scene iii of Twelfth Night. This prospect was dangled before my eyes before being cruelly unrealised. Ee cutting room floor?

tobee · 06/01/2017 17:08

And yes Craig Fairbrass played Dan, Bianca's older man from her "fashion industry" past. But Carol "no luck with men" Jackson's then present. He features heavily in Bianca's Secret Diary, still available on Amazon, not that I was given a copy one birthday. But this was, I believe, post Prime Suspect 1 Craig Fairbrass and pre Eastenders in this film.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 17:16

Dan sullivan was a real baddie, no pie making with him! Or twelfth night silly stuff.
Although, seeing them dressed up made my night! ( i am a sad case)

AQuietMind · 06/01/2017 17:20

My theory is 'Chelle' is back because Grant and Courtney turned up at her door in Florida looking for little Mark Fowler Mitchell and she ran away after Mark turning on her for lying to him for years.

No idea where the towels come into it though.

SoupDragon · 06/01/2017 17:35

The towels are for the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy cross over episode.

The80sweregreat · 06/01/2017 17:39

Ha ha! Towelgate!
What is going on?
Id love the hitchhikers to get on board. How funny.

HateSummer · 06/01/2017 19:18

Can I just go back to the Huw and Bex resemblance 😂😂😂

About roast dinners etc while your whole world has shattered and heart broken into pieces :(

dingdongdigeridoo · 06/01/2017 22:49

Was Rebecca conceived in Arrrfurr's allotment or am I imagining things?

Cannot imagine Pauline ever giving a shit about a towel. She'd tell her kids to just get over it.

EnidButton · 06/01/2017 22:53

Pauline and Arfur going at it in The Shed. What an image.

EnidButton · 06/01/2017 22:54

No one had fluffy towels in the 80's. Michelle is fantasising.
