Its weird the watching tv from another country thing because of course it tends to be only the better quality shows that are exported/imported.

Don't know about the US, but over here I seem to remember hospitals having smoking rooms in the 80's. I don't think you could smoke on the wards though.

Our local large district general teaching hospital still had a smoking room in 1997/8. I also worked in a civil service job in the late 80s in one of those 'sealed' glass box office buildings with air con/recirculation & no windows. The woman I sat next too chain smoked all day & had a large overflowing ashtray on her desk. I had itchy eyes and a wheezy chest the whole time I worked there.

We're only one episode in surely all the characters will evolve, we didn't see her brother do anything either apart from have a melt down at work.

He was a good brother to Kate when she fell, i hope she evolves...randall is a brilliantly layered character too,

It's the first episode! They had to introduce 5/6 main characters. I don't think any of them are more than 2d in the first episode.

No pilot episode will plop 5 perfectly formed characters into it anyway, they need to develop as the series goes on.

I know i know...i just hmmm we'll see i hope they dont a disservice to people of size after we had something as brilliant as mad fat diary for so long..

I'm American and have seen all of the episodes and I won't reveal any spoilers, except to say that interesting layers are revealed for all of the main characters, including Kate. It's one of the things I really like about the series.

Just watched and I think this could end up being one of my favourites! Didn't see the twist. I wonder if you watched it back there may be clues, like when Randall was looking at his emails there may be one from his siblings! I might have to sad! Really looking forward to next week.

Episode 1- we know Kate is one of triplets, her brother is a famous soap actor and they are very close. She met up with a bloke and shagged him. She's funny. Struggles with her weight.

Tho did wonder why didn't do cs - rare for triplets to be delivered naturally

surely if was two eggs and one split meaning the sexy manny and dead baby would be identical and share a placenta so cord wouldn't be able to go round neck as would be the second baby out tho via cs and placenta would be joined so he would have been baby 2 and the girl then third. Tho doc said third baby didn't make it

I had a friend at uni - well more of a frenemy who was a triplet - I'm sure they were naturally conceived

Triplets can be naturally conceived tho rare but 99.9% of them will be identical twins and singleton. So 2 eggs and one split

Never heard of 3 seperate placentas

I know I'm def over thinking this 😂😂 but have had so much ivf (and my triplets I had back in all failed) but that's 3 embryos

These were conceived naturally in the toilet so had to be identical twins hence sharing a placenta

Apart from that - I totally enjoyed and can't wait for next episode will be on tue 9pm
