Last thread here.

All ready for tonight's episode Smile Glitterball

In hindsight, the best thing was probably for both couples to go through to next week. However, the BBC then has the problem of collating the votes and carrying them forward and also shoehorning another dance and all the training footage into a show that is already tight on time. I think they made the decision to eliminate one of the contestants due to the time constraints of next Saturday's show rather than anything else.

ppeatfruit · 03/10/2016 15:07

Or remove BOTH of the couples Grin ,kinder IMO.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/10/2016 15:26

To the audience you mean ppeat? Grin I love strictly, but the early shows are very long...

OP posts:
Fiderer · 03/10/2016 15:48

Early shows are long and seem even longer when you don't know who the celebs are so you (I) don't really care. It's all even more of a blur.

Keep mixing up Louise and Laura. Haven't taken to either tbh.

Good thing it's a holiday here today. I've bugger all but bounce between this thread and the Archers' one.

Fiderer · 03/10/2016 15:49

*done bugger all

GrouchyKiwi · 03/10/2016 16:13

I'm only giving you a 9, Fiderer. Your hands looked a bit spatulistic during all that bouncing.

ppeat I've been trying to put my arms etc in the hold shape so I can see where it pulls (with all of my ballroom experience & knowledge...) and suspect you might be right about the waltz being a bad idea for Ana's injuries.

digerd · 03/10/2016 16:36

I too shall be watching IT2 with special interest tonight. But still feel sorry for both of the contestants concerned. 'The Jamelia/Peter Andre controversy was mentioned on IT2 I remember.

GrimDamnFanjo · 03/10/2016 16:37

I'm expecting Anastacia to drop out this week. I think her injury is serious enough a one that will affect every dance. I also think it was quite a blow for her to be in the bottom two. A real shame as I was enjoying her and Brendan.

Samcro · 03/10/2016 17:05

i wonder what will happen if she can't dance next week.
I thought it was very unfair that she stayed and melvin didn't.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 03/10/2016 17:34

It is different because that isn't how this series is set up.

How do we know? If the rule is that, in the event that a dance-off can't happen, the one with the lowest votes goes, then that is how the series is set up. It's a logical enough rule. The dance-off may not happen for a number of reasons - e.g. a glitch in the voting system, or one of the contestants being called away for an emergency. This is as logical a way of deciding who goes as any other.

LadyConstanceDeCoverlet · 03/10/2016 17:49

Does anyone remember who won the year Zoe Ball competed? Prompted by a post upthread I've been watching her show dance and jive, and they were both very good indeed.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/10/2016 18:06

It was series three, Darren Gough.

OP posts:
SapphireStrange · 03/10/2016 18:06

Darren Gough, with the much-missed Lilya!

SapphireStrange · 03/10/2016 18:07

Zoe B's ballroom tango was excellent too – ferocious. The VT just before she went on showed Erin or someone making a snitty comment about her, and she was clearly furious and channelled it into her performance. Grin

DiegeticMuch · 03/10/2016 18:45

I didn't start watching it until quite recently. I never saw Arlene judge. I think the first series I saw featured Ann Widdecombe, Gavin Henson and Patsy Kensit.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/10/2016 18:45

Could Louise be upduffed? It seems mostly to be the midriff she's covering up...? Probably not.

ThursdayLastWeek · 03/10/2016 18:58

Oti is making a great impression on me tonight Smile

morningtoncrescent62 · 03/10/2016 19:04

Darren Gough, with the much-missed Lilya!

Ah, we've lost some wonderful women professionals. I still miss Lilya and Erin, but at least I get some Karen fix on ITT.

SoupDragon · 03/10/2016 19:28

It is different because that isn't how this series is set up.

How do we know?

I find the fact that we see the judges vote on who to save is a bit of a give away. Confused. How they did previous series is irrelevant, that's the point I was making.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 03/10/2016 19:41

I'm just catching up on the bits of Saturday I didn't see, and Kevin's waistcoat/trouser choice did his bum no favours Confused

OP posts:
TimTamTerrier · 03/10/2016 19:57

TBH after several series of Kevin having badly fitting trousers when all the other pros look ok, I have to draw the conclusion that it's Kevin's bum that does him no favours and the trousers are simply highlighting the bum issue and not themselves at fault.

Inkanta · 03/10/2016 20:54

What happened to Greg's bum - sticking out so extensively. Would have thought Natalie would have been quick to notice that in training and had him tuck it in.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 03/10/2016 21:49

I was wondering that about Louise...I mean fair enough if she doesn't want her arse and boobs all over the shop, but there's plenty of styles that are not a dropped waisted duvet cover tied badly at the hips

who'd have thought they'd need a maternity dept. ;)

digerd · 03/10/2016 22:25

On IT2 tonight, Karen Hardy attempted to teach the proper Tango hold with tucked under buttocks with Zoe.They were both wearing black and Karen stepped with her front leg forwards in between Zoe's legs and I couldn't make out what was going on Grin. It all looked like a comedy as Karen is much shorter than the statuesque Zoe. Very enjoyable to watch.

Anastacia is scheduled to appear later on this week on IT2 said Zoe.

raisedbyguineapigs · 03/10/2016 22:45

Apparently Louise has now changed her story re the clothes. She said she was self conscious about her body and will wear more fitting clothes if she loses weight!
