Although I'm old enough to remember it first time round, I've just ploughed my way through all five series on sky box sets. I'd forgotten how good it was, I'm looking forward to watching the new series when it starts again in the autumn.

Art Malik is a Rob Tichener? (As in The Archers)

windygales · 03/10/2016 21:52

Jen is annoying

Stillwaitingforthesummer2come · 03/10/2016 22:04

Were they butterfly wings?

shins · 03/10/2016 22:06

I love it again!

AnnieNoMouse · 03/10/2016 22:16

Thank you Diddl - re the 2 walk-on actors not being the same - Grin

SamanthaBrique · 04/10/2016 06:23

Allegedly James Nesbit is a sleeze in RL.

I think there was a MNetter who had a story about him a while ago.

shins · 04/10/2016 15:22

Oh total sleaze- a friend from Belfast says everyone in Belfast has a Jimmy Nesbitt story! Good actor though.

Dozer · 04/10/2016 18:43

Angel wings?

GrumpyOldBag · 04/10/2016 18:55

The plot's quite annoying. Art Malik is Adam's Father in Law. And yet he hasn't even said anything to Karen about Adam & his daughter splitting up after just a few weeks of marriage. Unless I missed that bit.

Optimist1 · 04/10/2016 19:05

Karen's white (?) sweater looked quite plain till we got a rear view of her, Dozer - there were blue angel wings on the back. Not sticky-outy ones, just knitted in.

BennyTheBall · 04/10/2016 19:09

I am finding most of the characters irritating. Karen is so sneery and flat, David is a blithering idiot, and Fay Ripley's acting is awful, imo.

Brontebiscuits · 04/10/2016 20:00

A blithering idiot Grin. He so is! Yes they're all really bloody irritating. We're they always irritating? I think they were!

Trills · 04/10/2016 21:07

I came on to give the angel-wing jumper some love :)

Trills · 04/10/2016 21:15

Enjoying David being told to SHUT UP by the judge/magistrate/thing.

Squeegle · 04/10/2016 21:39

Still enjoying it. Although the plot is getting more outlandish by the minute.

IhatchedaSnorlax · 04/10/2016 22:02

I'm still loving it! Think they're all great!

northender · 04/10/2016 22:10

Agree Fay Ripley is dreadful, really grates with me.

polyhymnia · 04/10/2016 23:20

Yes, never having seen the original series agree Fay Ripley is an awful actress who can't even do a good accent. Find her character very unsympathetic but not sure how much that's down to FR.
Not surprising that Hermione Norris has been in masses of high profile things on TV since CF last finished but she's been in few, if any.

Dozer · 05/10/2016 07:26

Massive fuck-up not telling a DC about their paternity!

Dozer · 05/10/2016 07:27

So Karen has chucked in her job (and chances of redundancy money - not in character at all IMO) and David will be broke because of the trial: don't their DC attend fee paying schools, paid for by David?

MargotLovedTom · 05/10/2016 07:32

I bet Art Malik will swoop in and offer her a 'loan' to start up her own company. She will be torn and anguished about being beholden to him, as she's already having doubts.

I see Nesbitt and his wife have finally split up.

MargotLovedTom · 05/10/2016 07:33

Actually, they're getting divorced. Didn't realise they'd already split up Blush.

MargotLovedTom · 05/10/2016 07:38

Dozer - Karen said she'd take the redundancy, so she'll get the money.

Gwenhwyfar · 05/10/2016 08:01

"Dozer - Karen said she'd take the redundancy, so she'll get the money."

Yes, but not stealing clients is sometimes a clause of voluntary redundancy. She shouldn't have told her boss she was planning to do that.

diddl · 05/10/2016 08:06

" She shouldn't have told her boss she was planning to do that."

I know!Hmm

Like when someone realises who the "baddie" is & tells them to turn themselves in.

Just go to the police yourself FFS!!

Seems as if Karen is finding Eddie a little cloying.
