Although I'm old enough to remember it first time round, I've just ploughed my way through all five series on sky box sets. I'd forgotten how good it was, I'm looking forward to watching the new series when it starts again in the autumn.

I loved Alastair Mackenzie in MOTG, though not so much in Borgen.

He lives very near me. The only time I have ever seen him was in the GP's surgery as the receptionist bellowed to me something about needing to book a smear. I turned round and there was AM with his DS.

Back to the point of the thread - I loved what they did with Karen in this series. Hope she continues footloose and fancy-free.

I spent a day catching up on about 4 or 5 episodes. Thought it ended well.

Not a fan of tina. Love how karen is enjoying being single.

I hate it that Adam always seems to go for much younger women.

I may have said that on this thread before.

Although I suppose the scriptwriters think they've balanced off any latent sexism by giving Karen the choice of 3 men, one of whom is very young and attractive.

Rachel wasn't much younger than him, was she?
The problem is that they've spent a series building Tina up as the love interest so it's unlikely they'll dump her, which is a pity because it would be nice if Adam dated someone his own age.
Perhaps we could suggest alternatives?
I'd like Michelle Gomez. She's fabulous and nearly the same age as James Nesbitt

Karen has a choice of 3 men, but they all seem like tossers! And of course she can choose to remain single!

Helen B is about 5 years younger than James N?

Have itv said they will make another series? I hope so. I loved this 30 years ago and it's fab now too. Both times at similar stages in life to me do relatable although my life is dull in comparison.

You are with the love of your life if you marry/be with them - but if they die - then doesn't mean they have to be the last

Just means if you ever meet someone and fall in love again that means you are lucky enough to meet two people who are that special to you - many people don't even meet one person
