Although I'm old enough to remember it first time round, I've just ploughed my way through all five series on sky box sets. I'd forgotten how good it was, I'm looking forward to watching the new series when it starts again in the autumn.

I love it - think it's great & love how they've all aged naturally. Karen is still my favourite (always has been) but I do feel for David as he's such a drip but really tries hard to fit in with Adam & Pete.

I really like Angela & the neighbour too - think they're great new additions.

I want to know where Josh is & I'd also like them to update on Ramona - I know she wouldn't be in it as the children are grown, but I'd love them to talk about her & where she is now.

The references to Rachel are nice touches - poignant but not too over the top. When he was looking at their old house & the view was from the inside looking outwards, I cried Blush

You mean Jenny used to be even less bright, Tigger?

Tiggeryoubastard · 18/09/2016 19:03

Yes, I think she did. I'm not sure if I was clear, but it wasn't that that annoyed me. It was her lazy speech.

0urKid · 18/09/2016 19:59

Jenny's mancunian accent was awful in the early years. I read an interview with her recently and she said people were shocked to discover that wasn't her actual accent. No one in Manchester was shocked. It sounded like someone advised her to impersonate Liam Gallagher on a comedown eating a burger while slowly reading aloud from "Things You Think Mancunians Say But Actually They Don't" book. Anyway glad she's dialled it down a notch or six. :o

Dancergirl · 18/09/2016 22:52

Arrgghh, when did all the episodes disappear from ITV hub??

MissCalamity · 19/09/2016 08:47

0urKid very apt name! Couldn't agree more, her accent really bugged me, thankfully it's toned down now!

QueenSpartacusOfTheAndals · 19/09/2016 21:31

Am I the only one funding it a bit unbelievable that Adam, complete with dodgy hair transplant, has managed to pull a gorgeous 30 year old but Karen hasn't had any male attention for years?

polyhymnia · 19/09/2016 21:35

No you're not.

Raahh · 19/09/2016 21:41

I love watching this if only to spot local places.

I had lunch on my 21st at the Swan with 2 nicks. It's a long way from Withington, no wonder they were knackered!

Raahh · 19/09/2016 21:45

(it's a long way if you're not use to cycling that isGrin).

it makes me feel old watching though. I remember watching them film scenes for some of the very early episodes. They took over a tram stop for ages!

windygales · 19/09/2016 21:49

Omg how awful!!

windygales · 19/09/2016 21:52

Phew. He didn't kill the old man

QueenSpartacusOfTheAndals · 19/09/2016 21:59

Hurrah, Karen's going to get some with Art Malik, who is still a very very attractive man!

The80sweregreat · 19/09/2016 22:05

Every home needs an adam, stalker slayer, best mate,to take to the doctors, ready to drop new wife to go out with depressed friend to a care home. He is amazing. He will probably end up with the woman across the way though!
Still, i am enjoying it. Glad Karen has some action!

BakeOffBiscuits · 19/09/2016 22:05

Can I ask what happened with the old man? Dh hated that bit, so switched it over!

BakeOffBiscuits · 19/09/2016 22:06

Art Malik is indeed very handsome.

Squeegle · 19/09/2016 22:08

Art Malik is indeed delicious

Squeegle · 19/09/2016 22:11

I think it's all really good. Not entirely believable, but entirely enjoyable ! And I like the music too.

rollonthesummer · 19/09/2016 22:28

David doesn't seem terribly concerned by being arrested and charged with fraud, does he?!

Do we think Angela will not want to come back to England...?

Squeegle · 19/09/2016 22:35

I think that Adam will become very close to landlady mancunian bird while she's away. Not predictable at all.

DadOnIce · 19/09/2016 23:04

I feel really stupid, because I did "read the televisual grammar" properly at the beginning - when Karen was getting it on with Art Malik I thought it was for real. Yes, I genuinely thought that was his helicopter landing outside, and yes, I know we then saw her waking up alone in the bed, but I thought that was because he'd buggered off. To some business deal. In the helicopter.

Duh.

I only realised it was meant to be a dream when she said, much later in the episode.

So yes, that dinner date when he was coyly talking about being "attracted to" her was a bit confusing.

DadOnIce · 19/09/2016 23:06

BakeOffBiscuits - he grabbed at Pete's face then stopped moving, and Pete pulled the pillow back to see him lying there still, as if dead. Pete was horrified and remorseful, but then Harry gave a big, choking gasp and sat up. Pete ran from the room.

DorothyL · 19/09/2016 23:09

So 15 year old Matt comes and goes as he pleases, has sex openly and is quite rude... And nobody challenges him?

BlackDoglet · 19/09/2016 23:10

Dadonice - so did I. Blush
