Oh yes, perhaps that's it. I do think fans need to be left with hope of a reunion st least

Justbeingnosey123 · 13/06/2016 19:54

I think if there is any voyager this series it will be the stuff with Rodger and Briannna before she goes back but to be honest I'd rather there be none and them do justice to this story 😕

snozzlemaid · 13/06/2016 19:57

I hope they finish the series as DIA does. There's too much story at the beginning of voyager with R &B to do in this series surely.
I know it'll be hearbreaking with C & J apart but I just can't see them reuniting that quickly.

snozzlemaid · 13/06/2016 20:51

DG wrote the next episode and someone just asked her on Twitter if there's any sex in her episode, as it's missed.
She replied 'fuirich agus chi thu 😘'
Google says that is Scottish Gaelic for 'wait and see'.

I don't know what to make of that.

Justbeingnosey123 · 13/06/2016 20:54

I'm gonna take it to mean yes mainly cause I have to live in hope!! 😂😂

TheHiphopopotamus · 13/06/2016 20:54

Fingers crossed then!

AKAmyself · 13/06/2016 22:03

See, I'm ambivalent about the Outlander series but the last bit of DIA up to Culloden and the Jamie bit at the beginning of Voyager are absolutely stunning. If they mess with that, i'll be upset... especially because I started to actively dislike Voyager as soon as Claire shows up, all that nonsense with the chinese guy, the jumping on and off ships etc.

I made up their post prestonpans sex scene in my head :) i mean, Jamie did need a bath very very badly, and he was all clean at the end of the episode, so clearly he must have washed, so clearly he must have been naked, and so Clearly he would have needed help.... I will let you figure out the rest. Or, you know, the sex scene in the book which was actually perfect

Lessstressedhemum · 14/06/2016 11:21

Can't believe they didn't have sex after the battle. That's a staple in the books, it's their way of affirming life and finding succour after unimaginable trauma. Also, it's v. well done in the books. Jamie all dirty, blood stained and savage does it for me!
I really hope they don't cross over into Voyager, there isn't time and the build up to Culloden needs a lot of attention. Also, I can't be doing withFrank or Brianna at all, and I can only tolerate Roger. There is too much story, anyway, leading up to Claire going back. That needs a lot of time, as well, so that we can understand the changes in Jamie and a lot of the future plot lines.

Lessstressedhemum · 14/06/2016 11:24

Fuirich agus chi thu does indeed mean wait and see. Once, a very long time ago, I could speak Gaelic, sadly no longer, there is not my h call for it here.

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2016 11:47

I'm with stressed. There's too much stuff in voyager before Claire goes back to include it in this series. Even getting to the part where she discovered Jamie survived Culloden is a fair whack of the book. I liked the first third of Voyager purely for that reason; keeping Jamie and Claire apart for so long made it really compelling.

I do however disagree about Roger - I love him.

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2016 16:53

Right, I'm laid up in bed feeling grim. Time to see if I can get past the bloody gathering in Fiery Cross

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 14/06/2016 17:09

it's only 17 chapters, you can make it Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 14/06/2016 17:37

It's only 17 chapters, you can make it

And yet it seemed like so many more than that Hmm They were at the Gathering at least two years, yes? Wink

God speed pixie we'll be thinking of you Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 14/06/2016 17:47

I finally got past the Gathering btw but gave up again. I think they went off somewhere but we got the day to day minutiae of how far they walked, how they felt, how they slept that night, whether any of the party were coming down with a cough and what that sounded like and how it might have felt.

It's weird because I usually like books that immerse you in a different time period and give you a sense of how it felt to live in the past. But all the time I was reading it, part on my brain was screaming, 'Get. On. With. It!!'

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2016 17:57

17? Fucksticks, I'm only on chapter 13.

pixieg1rl · 14/06/2016 18:18

Seriously, Claire's sanitary towel just moved. Is this a pivotal plot point? Does it move the story on in any way? Why? Hmm

TheHiphopopotamus · 14/06/2016 20:51

A sanitary towel you say? Hasn't Claire just invented Always 200 years before they were mass produced (along with penicillin and toothbrushes).

Drywhitethanks · 14/06/2016 21:15

Right...have just watched an interview SH and CB did a couple of weeks ago with the LA Times on YouTube . Talking about Season 3/4.... Quite excited now. Think I need to re read the bits of Voyager without skim reading and then commit to proper reading of books after e series is done.
Filming starts 'in a few months'....YIPEE

TheHiphopopotamus · 14/06/2016 21:19

What was the gist of the interview? I don't like watching them in real life, it spoils the illusion.

Lessstressedhemum · 15/06/2016 12:22

Oh, the sanitary clout bit! I think it's just trying to draw you in to mindset and daily grind of C18th life. I kind of wondered what the clouts were attached to, the didn't wear knickers, so would the sanpro have been pinned to their petticoats? If so, where do the move to and is it not really insecure considering all the physical stuff an C18th woman had to do? Must try to Google.
Roger's all right, I suppose. He gets better as time goes on, he just seems so dithery. And his Presbyterianness, new word alert, is not I vi congregation to me, as someone who has always been a Scots Presbyterian. Although children of the manse are always the worst Smile

Jane054848 · 15/06/2016 13:48

I read an interview with Ron Davis online saying that the last ep of this series is different from the book and includes a character from the book who isn't there in the story.... Wonder what and who? Bet it is bloody Lagoire ( not even going to try to spell properly).

TheHiphopopotamus · 15/06/2016 13:57

Gawd, hope it isn't old Leghair. I've only got a vague memory of the ending so I'm not even going to try and guess.

pixieg1rl · 15/06/2016 14:47

Could be Gellis Jane?

Drywhitethanks · 15/06/2016 17:02

My money's on Gellis.
Hiphop interview nothing new. Talking sbout this season etc. Talked about how they would age....SH said he made a conscious effort to change physically a bit for series 2, perhaps he'll get fat for 3!!!!
Didn't really let on much about 3/4 as I don't think they knew much . Fawned a bit too much about how great DG is. Talked about fear of committing to two more series ( guess it can be scary for actors) but they felt season 2 was so different to 1, that 3 and 4 will hopefully be as challenging.
Saw an interview
/chat SH did with Jessica Jones actress too...interesting how Brit and US actors approach acting so differently.

TheHiphopopotamus · 15/06/2016 17:38

Thanks drywhite Flowers

Now it's been said, I think Gellis is a great guess.
