They originally thought that the dead torso was the Swiss guy because he was the only passenger missing. Then they identified the torso and realised that the victim hadn't come from the ferry.

SmellySourdough · 02/03/2016 18:19

and the ever burning question: have we 'met' maggie's dad yet? or was the mayor his dad?

carabos · 03/03/2016 21:29

How many episodes? Anyone know please? We've binged through the first six - just finished Grin.

NewYearSameMe · 03/03/2016 21:47

I think there will be 10 episodes altogether.

SmellySourdough · 03/03/2016 21:51

looks like it's 8 episodes

NewYearSameMe · 03/03/2016 22:42

I was chatting to an Icelandic friend of my Mum's today and she was saying how gripped she was by it too. I did think to myself that it must be a bit easier to follow if you can understand both languages and not have to rewind because a dog/child/husband briefly distracts you from watching the screen. Grin

Nydj · 04/03/2016 17:12

I am so Envy - I really want an Icelandic friend!

RomComPhooey · 04/03/2016 19:05

Me too - preferably one I can go & visit in Iceland regularly.

NewYearSameMe · 04/03/2016 19:18

Mum's Icelandic friend hasn't lived in Iceland for a long, long time (I'm nearly 50 and her eldest is about my age so she has been living in Ireland for at least that long). It was obvious talking to her that she still has a lot of affection for it though.

RomComPhooey · 04/03/2016 19:30

It is a brilliant place, quite singular. The people we met were lovely too.

helzapoppin2 · 05/03/2016 10:04

I discovered something in the changing rooms of the Blue Lagoon in Iceland.
Many women of a certain age, including me, wear big, white knickers!

RomComPhooey · 05/03/2016 12:05

Excellent!

Do you have to shower naked in communal showers (shower gel provided) BEFORE you put your bathers on & go in at Blue Lagoon like every other public swimming pool in Iceland?

helzapoppin2 · 05/03/2016 14:23

Sorry, Romcom, I don't remember. Too fixated on the knickers!
It was like a massive, minerally, Radox bath, though!

helzapoppin2 · 05/03/2016 14:24

Showers were single sex, it's all coming back now!

helzapoppin2 · 05/03/2016 21:22

They have to check that chain saw for elk blood!

RomComPhooey · 05/03/2016 21:59

Good thinking on the elk blood - though I think it is reindeer, rather than elk, in Iceland. No doubt it will shotly be proved Sigurdur had no part in this & died needlessly.

RomComPhooey · 05/03/2016 21:59

Shortly!

diddl · 05/03/2016 22:15

Did we see who that was with the Mayor's widow?

MissWimpyDimple · 05/03/2016 22:28

I couldn't tell either who it was with mayors wife (Kolbrun?).

Can't help feeling something is gonna happen to Asgeir... He seems somehow frail

diddl · 05/03/2016 22:35

I love how Trausti is so outraged, but his colleague was leaking stuff & they still don't know!

I thought either the hotel guy or the guy that owns the fish place with the Kolbrun?

MissWimpyDimple · 05/03/2016 22:43

Poor Andrii won't know what to do know. For a minute there I thought the girls had gone back onto the ferry for some reason.

CustardLover · 05/03/2016 22:44

I knew it, I KNEW IT! That dad's a baddun. He probably set the fish factory fire which killed his daughter in 2008. There's something dark at the heart of this town.

flightywoman · 05/03/2016 22:45

OHMYGOD!

diddl · 05/03/2016 22:45

So his FIL killed the Mayor?

Do you think he somehow found out that the Mayor had something to do with Dagny's death?

flightywoman · 05/03/2016 22:45

I've had to make a hottie as I was so cold!
