Alison pregnant by Scotty therefore she killed him?

It's not as if they can ask Scotty what he meant by what he said!

I really do hate Noah. Self absorbed twit. How I laughed though towards the end of episode 9!

Cole is hot hot hot....

And his body is a bit of alright too...... certainly not a scrap of an excess there from how they made it out in previous episodes.

As the series goes on, Noah is coming across more and more like a creepy old man one who iis obsessed with younger women.
He's like some pathetic loser having a midlife crisis.

Who else was disappointed that Alison's mother didn't stick up for her more during the dinner party?
Although I supposed it goes with her character, she's portrayed as being 'selfish'. She is always letting Alison down.
Still.
Even the friend doesn't stick up for her. Alison realises she is completely alone in the world.

how does Noah know so much about Cole's family? He never really asks Alison anything about herself

I am going to watch the first series again I know there is so much that I either missed or have forgotten

The ginger guy from the restaurant made a comment about telling it all to Noah as it was his grandad that set the fire so I assumed it had to be him as Alison wouldn't know, given Cole didn't know.

Oh yes I remember now hopefully we shall get to see that at some point

Noah is a slime ball. How rude to be so late to the dinner. Of course hanging out with a pretty publicist took his mind off the time.

DH and I really enjoyed the literary references. Philip Roth, anyone? I have just finished Corrections and was boring DH to death with how Jonathan Franzen could do with lightening up. We could not stop laughing when Noah said he could not get away from the pub, because "Franzen was monologuing." The little ray of sunshine (not). That would explain Noah's foul mood.
I was a bit surprised Salman Rushdie did not appear in person. He does a cameo in everything.

I am beside myself watching this series. It's entertaining and horrible all at the same time.

I recall Noah being in the library looking up local history in series 1. Is this where he got the grizzly and secret family history?

When the new evidence came to light at the end of the ep I was agog and rewinding it to double check. Sooo exciting Yes, team Cole, how could you ever leave that man for gloom face Fred West?

Noah is a saint compared to the way Philip Roth has carried on

I'm dreading it ending in the next few weeks. Is there only three left?

Not really sure what s2 is about? The year or so after but police still have no clues and Noah is rich

Alison very upset how she is portrayed in book - and how dies in the end? Is the the ending the editor wanting changing?

Or is the happy ever after one the one he didn't like and changed it to her dying?

There was quite a jump time wise between Alison going back to Cole for one night then Thanksgiving in this episode which got me thinking...

I'm wondering if we are going to see a scene where she goes to Cole to tell him she's pregnant but finds he is already hooked up with that girl so she goes off to the yoga retreat place and we know what happens from there, sadly.

She just seems unhappy with Noah now but maybe that's not just because he's a massive arsehole but also because she feels it's too late for her with Cole as he has moved on.

I think Cole would have had Alison back ......

Not if he's already married? I just can't get over they were at his wedding.

What I'm wondering is Scotty the father of Alison's baby? And if so when did they sleep together?

I have started to watch series 1 again

Alison seems far more nervous when being interviewed than Noah. he asks why he is being questioned and seems genuinely confused as he thought Scott died in an accident

Honestly - bloody Noah gets worse with each episode. What a complete tosser he is. "What have you done to my office?" etc. etc.
Neither Alison nor Helen really deserve to end up with him yet both are mysteriously fascinated by him and are letting themselves down putting up with his endless shenanigans.

Is he shagging his publicist or not? He's such an arrogant drunk. I think he plays the part down to a T I hope he's not like that in rl
