Back next week on Sky Atlantic.

Loved series 1 apart from rubbish ending and so many loose ends.

OP posts:

I've just seen the new season being advertised, please tell me I've misheard it and the voice in the background doesn't say "there are FOUR sides to every story".
I know I could just go and google but it's much more fun to discuss it here.

I've seen the first three episodes and am enjoying it as much as series one.

I shall watch as I want to know who killed him

And tho interesting to see the different sides of same story but did find some of it tedious

I've been watching online but confused with the timeline of events already. Think I'll wait now to watch so I can discuss it here!
There are 4 points of view but normally only 2 per episode.

Four points of view? I'm going to be even more confused than normal.

I enjoyed the first series. I'm not sure why the guy left his wife and had a kid with the other woman. They kept mentioning these issues they had, but other than money and the occasional row they seemed like a decent enough couple. How long before he strays again? The storyline with the dead son was very well done, with both parties obviously resenting the other yet not being able to show it.

I am excited for this season though. The four viewpoints could be interesting, although I hope they spread it over different episodes rather than chopping every single episode into four.

I've just tragically realised that we got rid of Now TV as we 'never watched it'.... How else can I watch this, does anyone know?

I might have to watch the end of series one tonight to remind myself!

I loved the first series but DH got bored. We both got annoyed about the ending though

Hmmm... Intriguing if a bit slow at a whole 2 hours for the first episodes of the new series tonight.
Seems to have set itself up nicely for all the strands to develop though.

I just finished watching the last episode of series 1 last night. Looking forward to series 2 now although I hope I don't struggle with 4 views!

That pic is very clever. Didn't notice it at all.

So Alison's interpretation of events is different to Noah and Coles. I keep asking the TV "what really happened?"!

Everyone has different opinions

Ahhhhhhhhhhh

And why did he change ending to book which then made it into a bestseller

I'm not sure Helen becoming a bit of a pot head is believable.

i am confused by the time thing ..and GOD I love it that Noah is showing her what a cock he is

I SO would have read the manuscript

i think if Helen chucked her mum out and started being at home more, they , the four of them, would be pretty powerful against Noah

Always makes me wonder if some men are really that incapable of noticing that the woman is just completely disinterest and disengaged?!
On a different note, I love Helen's clothes. I wish I could pull off her style.

I can't watch it without wanting to take a pair of scissors to Helen's hair and Cole's beard.

I think the pot thing is believable. When your H leaves you it's a time of reassessing yourself, trying to find who you really are without him etc and I think as a part of this we often revisit things we enjoyed in our youth!

I remember reading something about Fern Britton deciding to start smoking after she split with her XH. She bought a little tin for tobacco, papers etc and used to sneak off and indulge in a rolly as part of a kind of 'rebellion'. I must admit watching Helen chilling out with her vape thingy I can see the appeal!

I end up rewinding and rewatching to see how different the two sides are. The difference in behaviour, clothing, even who else was there, is quite interesting.

You can imagine that if he was retelling the story to someone he'd be looking for sympathy, telling about his hard day, how tired he was, he'd maybe remember her being very composed and 'together' whereas she is remembering him being overbearing and painting herself as a victim. It's interesting to see how things get distorted, like on here when someone posts and we have to remember we're only getting one side of the story.
