So did Dinah and Kathy fake a car crash too? Why will the police think Laurie has been killed as they won't connect him to the murders as Viv destroyed all the evidence.

I'm hoping all these questions get answered in the next series.
Yeah the car crash was faked. I'm not 100% sure why.

Sorry to join so late. Just watched last episode. I assumed they faked the crash to explain away their injuries and possibly for an alibi?
DH and I have loved this series. I'm sure that video will come to light in the next series but it will also show Laurie confessing and attempting to rape Dinah.

That's why I thought they did it.
I still want to know how Cathy knew to find Dinah in Viv's house. I don't think she had been there before.
Also, Laurie said he could tell that Cathy was pregnant at the time of the attack. She wouldn't have been very pregnant by then would she? No way he would have known.

A lot of unanswered questions! In ye olde days of police dramas, everything used to be explained, so it was all nice and slow, each step spelled out, so you could follow what was going on. Now it's like reading a book where someone's deleted all the conjunctions - you just have to make some logical deduction about how you've gone from A to D without having steps B and C explained. It's all too much for me.

the next series is meant to be about warring crime families.

The car crash was to explain D's injuries. The hair was to explain D's DNA. Laurie had raped and sodomised Cathy.

The police would investigate it as homicide because of the way he died, you do not choose expanding foam as a suicide method and with the broken hand/arm, it looked like murder.

The thing is, once they start digging and discover he wasn't his identity Laurie, they will be uncovering something surely? unless it is decided he changed id as he was connected to bad people. Also street cameras? No way could Viv be involved with the investigation so unless Will Mellor is on it and the girls sabotage it, I cannot see it going Unsolved.
