It is about power and he just could not resist expressing that domination... Is Viv worried that people will think she should have known like the couple in today's episode? Well, she does know now and she did not appear to be pissed at him.

You guys are good for figuring it out! I am loving it, hope viv comes good, the burning of the file was a surprise. Hope there is second series. Always liked Will Mellor strangely, so glad he has a good role in something I like!

I can't believe she burnt the file is she trying to maintain her reputation or relationship ? Viv refers to him as her husband but are they actually married as
if he was Sean legg and faked his own death surely there is no account of him ever been born etc if he is using a false id ?
It reminded me a bit of Scott and Bailey the Jeff Hastings case from series 1 where ar killing his sister it carried on through his life ?
Also I don't know much about police but are any older files like the one viv burnt backed up copied or computerised I know this is factual but I was worried about lack of evidence when the file got burnt !

It did seem out of character for Viv.

Does anyone know what the tune was, by the way? It's really really familiar but I can't put my finger on it.

As usual, much of it went over my head this week - a combination of not being able to understand what they were saying and the whole thing moving so fast.

I'm loving this too! Joanna Scanlan is fab in everything including this. She looks terrific with bright blonde hair too.

I don't know what the tune is called hackmum but it was in a bank advert ages ago, HSBC? and more recently the Mars one when a dog plays the pan pipes

Bloody loving the show, and kicking myself for not spotting that Viv's partner/hubby was involved. Thought her burning of the file was very unrealistic, didn't fit with the character at all.

As to the tune, I thought it was 'Crockett's Theme' from Miami Vice.

Thanks, everyone! I've never watched Miami Vice and I don't recall the dog with the pan pipes so I must have heard it on the bank advert. Odd choice of tune, isn't it? I wonder if it's supposed to be significant. Or perhaps chosen simply because it was sufficiently unusual that you'd notice if two people were playing it independently.

I love this & thought there was something dodgy about Viv's husband.
