so ridiculous!

broomchickabroomchick · 23/06/2015 21:43

I really enjoyed this until todays episode

Bannerstaying · 23/06/2015 21:48

Very mixed feelings from here we go to ridiculous to OMG!

Pipbin · 23/06/2015 21:48

Why was Kathy in the boot of the car? How did she get into Viv's house and how did she know where it was?

BarrowlandBiddy · 23/06/2015 21:55

It's become utterly nonsensical now!
Kinda gutted tbh, thought the series had been brilliant until tonight. Confused

Wonder what the writers were smoking when they concocted this dream-sequence of a finale???

Rollergirl1 · 23/06/2015 21:55

I'm actually shouting at the tv! This is so stupid. Did Dinah put Kathy in her car? I don't understand!

Bannerstaying · 23/06/2015 22:04

Don't care just love the fact that Kathy got to do it
Hate when baddy gets to carry on somehow
Love the three women at end
Love the bits that made me laugh too.

gaggiagirl · 23/06/2015 22:04

Eh? Who's car was it, who put her in there? He told Viv he didn't rape Kathy. What the fuck happened????????

OP posts:
sleepyhead · 23/06/2015 22:05

I'm assuming that Laurie had kidnapped Cathy because he knew she'd recognised him, and he was going to do away with her before he went abroad to tie up that loose end - but that was Dinah's car?!?

I actually thought, given that Viv was up to her neck the minute she burned the evidence, it was well done - not sure she could have gone through with killing him, but with the others involved it all came together.

I guess Dinah took back her handcuffs when she & Cathy were cleaning up.

Death by expanding foam - that's grim.

gaggiagirl · 23/06/2015 22:05

I did love the three of them at the end though I agree banner

Ok I'm jumping on this thread last minute because I've just found it, but WTF?!
I think kathy got in dinah's car and hid to find out where she was going, as she'd realised dinah knew who the real killer was.
However.... Why did the boss put the hair from dinah's head on the chest of her dead husband? What?!

sleepyhead · 23/06/2015 22:06

Yeah, I loved the three women at the end - "We good?". Yep Grin

Jenda · 23/06/2015 22:07

I think because it explains Dinah's DNA possibly being found at the scene

sleepyhead · 23/06/2015 22:07

I think the hair was to make sure that any forensic evidence from Dinah or herself found on Laurie was explainable - I think the weeping over him was basically faked for that purpose.

KirstyJC · 23/06/2015 22:09

I think Kathy got in there herself too. I think the hair was to have witnesses to her being there after the fact and that if any forensic evidence was found then they could say it was done then. So the hair would mean any other evidence eg fingerprints could also have been done at the same time, therefore could be ignored. Clever.

On a side note, I will be throwing away my half used can of expanding foam tomorrow. (It is out of kids' reach but somehow I feel uncomfortable still).

whiteblankpage · 23/06/2015 22:09

Ok that's what I thought, and I'm glad.

Loved that scene at the end.

Thought it was an excellent series up until tonight but was really frustrated by the finale. Maybe once my adrenaline level has dropped I'll think more of it!

MomentOfWonder · 23/06/2015 22:20

It did feel like the two story lines this week we're very rushed - I think one of its strengths up until now has been the pacing of the main plot and the sub plot, but perhaps this needed two hours rather than one...

MomentOfWonder · 23/06/2015 22:21

*were

Izzy24 · 23/06/2015 22:22

Yuk.

But I love the theme music .

gaggiagirl · 23/06/2015 22:23

Yeah i think we didn't need Jonah's story tonight.

Chimchar · 23/06/2015 22:28

Awwwwww. Like you all, I'm really disappointed in the silliness of tonight. I have been a massive fan up until now, but tonight has put me right off!

It was clever, and I was watching from behind a cushion, but it's sort of discounted the characters of the women who were so believable to me.

You know they aren't going to get away with it. And it all feels like a bit of a cop out.....I dunno.

Still love Viv though. Grin

gaggiagirl · 23/06/2015 22:47

So much Viv love!

blueeyedpea · 23/06/2015 22:55

I think the Jonah story was to give Viv a reason to be away at the station so that Cathy and Dinah had to deal with Laurie
