I have finally figured out what programme the sidekick in Torchwood (had to use turn-on-spray to get the girl and boy in first episode) was in.

He was absolute brilliant and was my favourite character in it.

'Bleak House' - Guppy.

Have to use matchsticks to stay up till 10.00 p.m. Jack is not as charasmatic as Christopher but hey ho ....its early days.

I must live a very sheltered life - I can't imagine one!

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 04/12/2006 20:11

Bloody Torchwood is missing from Telewest's replay system this week. Bah!

PortAndLemonaid · 04/12/2006 20:17

I think I've still got it recorded so could burn to DVD and post if you want (mind you, it'll be repeated later in the week although I forget when).

Pixel · 04/12/2006 20:22

Weds, 9pm BBC2.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 04/12/2006 20:23

I'm hoping it'll pop up on the list later - a lot are missing from Sunday I think. Or I'll tape it on Weds. Thanks though

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 04/12/2006 21:00

Port&Lemonaid - mine are all sex related . I'll leave you on tenterhooks if you don't mind! (And, no, that isn't one of them )

JackieNoHoHo · 04/12/2006 21:02

Noooo - we're expecting them all to be sex-related. Tell us anyway

i couldn't think of anything they could do with a stopwatch apart from timing how fast they could "achieve"?????? Totally puzzled??? i feel like i must have zoned out for 1 min and missed something v significant?

Good episode, though i'm not sure how realistic it is that she would have set all that up in advance? Frankly, she's a lot smarter than Gwen! is there any alien technology that fixes gappy teeth?

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 04/12/2006 21:10

Can't decide about last nights.Suzies plan thing was good, and Jack was more 'Jack ' than usual.Nice to see another side of Ianto too
Not sure what it is but something didn't feel right though.

DonnerDasherDancerDior · 04/12/2006 21:29

Well, it could have been how long it took Ianto to brew Jack's coffee?

Remember the kiss during the Cyberman one? Jack wasn't trying to breathe life into Ianto by the looks of it! More like suck his tonsils out...

foxinsocks · 05/12/2006 10:45

lol Dior

I thought Jack was also much more 'Jack' in that one

also thought the soft music was a bit weird....really don't want to see a Jack and Gwen thing starting off in a big way

JackieNoHoHo · 05/12/2006 10:50

They started the Gwen/Jack thing off when Jack was teaching her how to shoot in one of the first couple of episodes, didn't they - all that standing behind her and 'guiding' her hand while she was using the various guns.

foxinsocks · 05/12/2006 10:52

yes...think they did. I just, personally, don't want the two of them to become a couple. Thought the Gwen Owen lovey dovey stuff was sick making enough as it was!

JackieNoHoHo · 05/12/2006 10:56

No - the whole romance/sex thing is just a bit strange. I don't want Jack and Gwen to be a couple either.

On an almost completely unrelated note, I was listening to the radio on the way to work this morning, and they had Queen's 'Don't stop me now' on, and for some reason I just had a vision of John Barrowman as Freddie Mercury. . Very strange.

foxinsocks · 05/12/2006 11:07

Did you see him on Jonathon Ross? he was very funny.

JackieNoHoHo · 05/12/2006 11:09

No, but I did see him on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, where he was pretty funny, if rather smutty, and a bit on Loose Women, when I was off sick last week (although I had to turn it off when they decided to have him officiate at the wedding of 2 dogs)

UnquietDad · 05/12/2006 11:13

JackieNoHo... don't, whatever you do, tell anyhbody who works on "Stars In Their Eyes"...

JackieNoHoHo · 05/12/2006 11:14

I don't think I know anybody in the business, so hopefully we'll be spared that.

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 05/12/2006 21:21

he was also on 8/10 cats last week , not as funny as on the Buzzcocks though!

noseymum · 06/12/2006 08:39

"I must live a very sheltered life - I can't imagine one!"

Nor me

PortAndLemonaid · 10/12/2006 22:52

I thought it was quite good tonight... and next week's looks interesting.

Overrunderthemistletoe · 11/12/2006 10:05

I think the last two have been a big improvement. Only saw Sunday the 3rds on friday iyswim
Really enjoyed Susies ressurection, she is a brilliant actress don't you think? I too struggled to think about the stopwatch?
this weeks was also rather sad.I felt the characterisations were better.Susie is not so one dimensional as other characters, and Eugene was a very poignant portrayal.

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 11/12/2006 20:02

I liked this weeks and quite an interesting twist.I thought it was very sad at the end too.

deaconblue · 11/12/2006 20:47

I love Torchwood but find it as scary as I found Dr Who as a child. Also not sure about the gratuitous lesbian stuff week after week. Can;t help but think of all the Dr Who anoraks in their single beds getting off on it. YUK
