Anyone else looking forward to this one? After last time I think there a BOys and a Girls island though it is just boys tonight. Roll up roll up anyone who has no idea how to lit a fire or build a shelter whilst knowing they are going on a survival program!

OP posts:

The girls didn't seem to work to the basic survival plan they'd been taught(and I saw on the bear's previous programmeWink) We saw the men pee into bottles for emergency water rations, we saw one of the girls peeing in the sea and couldn't get out cos she hadn't finished? We saw the blokes protecting their fire and making a proper camp while we saw the girls just wandering off into the unknown. There seemed to be a couple of sensible and capable girls in the group but I'd imagine they hadn't gelled enough for their impact to be felt and their voices heard.

It's always possible that careful editing is in play here but atm I'd say that the men are showing much better than the girls.

Despite 3 defections, at least none of the men have complained about their wrecked manicures Grin

Tigresswoods · 16/04/2015 21:15

OMG how bad is their sense of direction?! Will they ever find the other women?!

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 21:15

it's so frustrating to watch! they'd be better off following the shoreline around the island surely?

mamapain · 16/04/2015 21:26

Yes Jacana, exactly, normally around coconut trees you can find the ones that have fallen. When we go to Jamaica, my DH's home country lots of people can climb up to get coconuts or keep smallish trees.

I seriously think these women are not the full ticket.

The group left behind should head for the beach instead of just sitting and starving.

Also why can't they try and walk round the perimeter of the island, they know they were dropped near the perimeter so surely that would find camp?

piggychops · 16/04/2015 21:29

I can hardly bear to watch.

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 21:34

someone gets air lifted out in a bit I think, from what I could gather from the advert for this week's episode

mamapain · 16/04/2015 21:37

I think its the small tearful girl who got left behind in camp.

That scottish woman is pissing me off so much.

VivaLeBeaver · 16/04/2015 21:40

They're all pissing me off.

Sleepyhoglet · 16/04/2015 21:42

I think this program shows why sexism exists. Clearly men are better at some things! The women are pissing me off

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 21:44

I think the selected women just give women a bad name

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 21:45

the bottles left on the beach was just pure stupidity

Tigresswoods · 16/04/2015 21:45

I like the positive scouser but I can see how she's annoying in that situation. "I'm not that bad". "Good for you"

butterflyballs · 16/04/2015 21:50

Two days walking round in circles. Fabulous.

butterflyballs · 16/04/2015 21:51

Jesus! Now both groups are on the move and lost.

Only1scoop · 16/04/2015 21:55

Blimey Coconut Island yet again Shock

butterflyballs · 16/04/2015 22:02

And Kate has left.

They have no shelter, no fire, no water and no food. Not going well is it?

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 22:08

I'm thinking they maybe should have spent less time crab racing and more time starting fires/looking for water/looking for food....

also, I can't help but think that maybe they got tipped off by the producers/medics to walk around the island to find the homeless walk-around-in-circles group

beanlovesb · 16/04/2015 22:08

*hopeless!

mamapain · 16/04/2015 22:11

I actually felt tearful when they found each other.

I don't think they were tipped off, walking round the shore seems like the most obvious idea instead of battling through dangerous jungle.

Can't believe Kate left because she misses her kids, complete waste of time.

Jacana · 16/04/2015 22:40

Always with the proviso that it's easy for me here at home, mug of coffee to hand and the only annoyance being a bloody fly that's circling, but I'm geting seriously peed off with the 'reason' for leaving is that they miss their family so much.

No! the prime reason you want to leave is that you can't hack it any more, no shame in admitting that but ffs don't make your family your excuseAngry

And great to be reunited but really, girls, think about it...you're still in exactly the same situation - no fire, no shelter, no water,no food. Stop fucking frolicking around and do something productive. grrr

Jacana · 16/04/2015 22:43

And letting those crabs go...why? just...why?

ProfYaffle · 17/04/2015 07:59

I thought the same about the 'reasons' for going "it's not that I can't hack it" umm, yes it is!

Jacana · 17/04/2015 09:22

So, lowering the tone greatly, the Girl with a short skirt and no nix we kept seeing - shave or wax do you think?Grin

Travelledtheworld · 17/04/2015 19:35

Jacana Shock
