Anyone else looking forward to this one? After last time I think there a BOys and a Girls island though it is just boys tonight. Roll up roll up anyone who has no idea how to lit a fire or build a shelter whilst knowing they are going on a survival program!

Zebra I think she must just be a friend as he seems pretty fond of his wife. I just don't know what to make of him.

I hope the girls get their act together tomorrow!

Travelledtheworld · 29/04/2015 23:23

Yeah, I'm going to join the " hate smug Bear stating the obvious to Camera team too"

beanlovesb · 29/04/2015 23:27

oh I like Bear! Blush

Bear is interested in one thing and one thing only. Making money from his own brand. He's a dreadful head scout. Camps have to pay for appearances from him. Never mind that all the other fuckers are volunteering and he endorses knives that are not recommended by scouting.

And yeah that's before his. He's totally unnecessary to the show and will have cost C4 an arm and a leg.

AnnPerkins · 30/04/2015 11:18

'Evil Chuckle brother' Grin

Vic is happy now he's put them all in their place, which is beneath his pedestal, looking up at him worshipfully.

They almost deserve it, though. They were taking him for granted.

I'm disappointed. I thought Vic was a straight-talking, sensible bloke. Turns out he's too into a bit of drama for my taste.

Bear sounds awful. What kind of patron of a young people's association, which relies on volunteers, thinks it's ok to charge for appearances Angry I wonder if Peter Duncan used to charge?

Jacana · 30/04/2015 16:06

Nailing my colours, and the occasional eel if I can catch one, to the mast. I'm in Team Capability Vic's camp.Smile

On a desert island with Ole Capability, Unbearable Bear and the Chronically Idle Kyle, what would be my game plan?

Well, I'd get Ole Capability to deliver the coup de grace to Unbearable after I'd pretended that my left nipple was actually a video camera hard-wired to the Beeb, and believe me, he'd be not moving from in front of it in his deluded self aggrandisement permanent mode, while Capability hacked him from behind. Head then staked out on the crocodile runthrough, and again Capability would be more than capable of snaring and dispatching the crocs and bringing them back to camp. Cos he's done it before, right? The rest of him to be chunked up as further bait for further crocs.

Chronically ain't up to much, let's be honest here, so, apart from stripping him of his glasses to use as further fire igniting aids, I'd put him on the water run and give him salt gathering duties.

When he'd filled ALL the bottles with water to last us til Xmas and distilled enough salt, he'd be for the chop too. He'd make lots of nice tasty morsels for fishing, cos he ain't lost much of his body weight in his 'exertions', has he? and the rest of his body parts could be nicely salted down for the larder, along with salted crocodile.

For fresh food OC has already proved his worth.

I'll prove him wrong on one score, tho...it certainly does take a lazy dedicated cook hours to produce a tasty stew, and I'm the gal to prove itGrin

I agree that Bear adds nothing to the show. Occasionally squinting into the camera to recite the obvious is about all he seems to be doing. Nice work if you can get it.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 30/04/2015 21:44

Anyone else think Lauren looks like Kate Middleton?

butterflyballs · 30/04/2015 21:49

She does a,bit. She's brilliant at this survival lark.

SlightlyJadedJack · 30/04/2015 21:50

Well so far I am impressed with the women and their solidarity. I wish they knew how to fish though. How come there's no pigs on the men's island?

QueenBean · 30/04/2015 21:52

I have SUCH a girl crush on Lauren

She is so fab. And pretty. But mostly excellent at survival.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/04/2015 21:52

I missed it - what happened to the last pig? Has this one been put there for them?

Ok. I actually turned over as they were on the last pig, and have done so again. I don't want to watch that.

SlightlyJadedJack · 30/04/2015 21:55

Right properly impressed now. Would like to see them build a bed now though.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/04/2015 21:57

Yep, smoke or dry what they can't eat, and make some bloody beds.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/04/2015 21:58

Even Bear's embroidered logo on his shirt pisses me off.

You don't see Ray Mears with that level of twonkery, do you?

TheSpottedZebra · 30/04/2015 21:59
Shock
SlightlyJadedJack · 30/04/2015 22:00

Oh no, don't like the look of next week, looks like it was starting well and then turned to shit. Sad

Tigresswoods · 30/04/2015 22:00

I cannot WAIT for next Wednesday!!!

butterflyballs · 30/04/2015 22:02

They did so well getting the snake and pig.

Really can't wait til Wednesday!!

Hassled · 30/04/2015 22:07

The women have redeemed themselves after the wussiness of last week. They're a likeable bunch - far more so than the men. And they're doing better at working together.

Tigresswoods · 30/04/2015 22:36

How/why are the men doing fire & water duty daily & the women don't appear to be. I don't get it? Is their water source nearer? Are we just not being shown that at all?

RedToothBrush · 30/04/2015 22:55

DH has asked me to point out how well the girls have been trained in survival skills. Lauren killed the pig with a Mora knife - which ISN'T one of the Bear Grylls endorsed ones (its far better). And cheaper. Its an outdoors persons knife rather than a tv presenters knife.
