Welcome mikki to the very friendly folk on here, only recently joined in.

pixie your ff is brilliant, hope you enjoy your day in Lobdon

nickel did you get icloud sorted? If not, can sort of explain

Richtea19 · 30/12/2014 10:56

Welcome mikki. All very like minded people here that have an admiration/obsession with CJ and stag references!

icemist Lovely picture selection this morning, and I hope feel better soon.x

Stag pants are on as I am all set for a trip to Ikea... Wish me luck Hmm

apsara03 · 30/12/2014 12:33

Good luck in idea richtea happy jingling. Xmas Smile just picked up another stag decoration in wilko. If he's noticed DH hasn't commented on stag obsession. In pizza hut with family, smiled to myself as I expected walked past nandos. Love it how much random stuff makes me think of OGSmile
welcome mikki email enjoy

apsara03 · 30/12/2014 13:51

"Email" no idea! Predictive text

cherin · 30/12/2014 15:37

The whole predictive text seems to be an intelligence test, sometimes ;-)
I am back to motherland, and waiting for our flight tomorrow to get back to London Town. Another type of tour (not Afghanistan, just 400+400 miles. Exhales...)
Welcome to mikki, I can't believe you'd have the patience to go through 7000+ posts but the summary you just received was quite accurate :-)

icemistOBE · 30/12/2014 16:12

Hi mikki glad you made it over. Was shocked when I saw you'd been blocked for liking a photo!

Busy day in work. No time to think about anything! More ff I see too. Gonna be reading that on way home. Which reminds me that we need to finish our last story - any volunteers to do smurfs PoV ?

OP posts:
orphan · 30/12/2014 18:21

Am getting really frustrated that i can't find the time to watch my dvd. Beginning to think that I'll only really be able to sit and devote my full attention to it once the holiday is over and I have the house to myself.

Predictive text is very odd sometimes. For some reason my tablet won't allow 'naked' (as in naked wrestling Wink) but always puts either baked or named. Not quite the same...

Sorry icemistOBE but I'd be no good doing the ff. Was spo going to be Smurf? Are any of the new recruits writers maybe?!

Nickel45 · 30/12/2014 18:21

Brilliant summary orphan :)
Welcome to the madness mikki, although you may need to read the last 7000 posts to make sense of us ...!! (Just ask, it all does make sense, honest!)
Hope you had a good journey home icemist Wink

cjwoofwoof · 30/12/2014 18:22

Just checking in after a frantic day of The Hobbit and buying new football boots. Great to see so much ff to catch up on. The QS is improving by the day!

Richtea19 · 30/12/2014 18:57

I survived Ikea, it was a fact finding mission and I plan to return with DH and the van! Trying to sort out a playroom/den for the boys. We are having to give up the home office. Basically the kids have been driving me mad playing on their xbox in our sitting room and I want them out! There's no where else to watch OG, I don't think that's too unreasonable!

Sorry icemist I am definitely not clever enough for Smurfs PoV. I noticed there were a few new stories to read but I haven't read them all yet.

When I go back to Ikea tomorrow there's a massive Tesco so I will look for PJs if anyone is interested.

Orphan, your time will come next week when the decorations are down and the kids back at school. We will all be on OG overload :)

Onlygirljen · 30/12/2014 19:35

Hi all! Another newbie here, although I must confess have lurked for a little while. You ladies are all hilarious, I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a CJ obsession! Grin

cjwoofwoof · 30/12/2014 19:44

Welcome Onlygirljen and other newbies. I was a lurker too before taking the plunge to join in about a month ago. It's totally therapeutic and utterly addictive (in a nice way). These ladies (and gent, come back SPO) are all brilliant and give me such a laugh so I'm sure you'll settle in, esp if you lust after admire CJ as much as we all do. You can't beat full combats and tongue circuits and I've missed them SO MUCH during my enforced decompression. Damn these Christmas and New Year holidays!!!

cherin · 30/12/2014 19:46

Welcome onlygirl! We should set up a welcoming procedure, like at the AA, only without the 12 steps (because we don't want to decompress).

Brave is the woman that can do 2 ikeas in 2 days
But for OG, it's understandable
(Nah, more like for the nerves, in general. Let's be honest. I drove about 2 h today with the background noise of kids -and it was mostly old-fashioned Disney cartoons, no racing, no shooting) and I was feeling quite murderous...

I am more temped by the sales at Uniqlo (flannel camouflage shirt 14£, anyone?) and running gear at Sweatshop....but then I think I should be running more to justify the extra gear...and it's cooooold...

cherin · 30/12/2014 19:48

(I know, I know. I should dig in. Put some bloody effort in it. You're right. CJ is right. Or TG is right. Whatever)

Rhubarb01 · 30/12/2014 20:05

Hi all!

Just checking in although nothing very interesting happening here to report. (The dog did pick up the stag antler and run about with it today but appears to have deposited it somewhere in the house that only he knows - its still yucky!) Have kept a eye on the thread for the last few days but have to admit to giving up all the missed posts before Christmas as a bad job. I'm sure the flavour of them will filter through.

Welcome to the newbies! Glad to hear that there are still lurkers out there and we are not trapped in our own exclusive little universe.

I suppose as its New Year's Eve tomorrow we should be considering resolutions real life or ones for certain fictional characters.

Who was it who said they had a thing about the Musketeers? I know it was a long time ago but I note that they are back on Friday and its going to be darker and a bit more edgy as it is now properly aimed at a post 9pm audience. Although I'm not a beard fan, I accept for authenticity purposes they have to wear them, I must confess to a liking for Santiago Cabrera. Do you think he could be offered a part in the OG production perhaps as CJ's South American penpal or something?

Onlygirljen · 30/12/2014 20:06

12 step initiation sounds like the nuts as Molly would say - although if copious amounts of episode re-runs, YouTube videos and fanfics are part of that then I'm probably nearly there already!

cjwoofwoof · 30/12/2014 20:13

It was me Rhubarb who enjoyed the Musketeers - not the script or silly fights, just the general hot male totty in frilly shirts and leather trousers really. Glad to hear it may get raunchier - possibly some wrestling Orphan? I don't mind the beards if the cutlass is sharp enough so to speak.

Rhubarb01 · 30/12/2014 20:22

Cjwoofwoof apparently there was a mix up last year because the writer was told it was going out at 8pm and it definitely had that Saturday tea time feel to it. However, it was put out at 9pm and I must admit it did seem all wrong at that time. I guess there will be more swearing, violence and bedroom frolicks this time round. We'll have to watch this space.

apsara03 · 30/12/2014 20:23

With musketeers and broadchurch, TV viewing is looking up then reign starting again on 22nd Smile still nothing Compared to 2nd series of OG.
New years resolutions: continuing with fitness regime. Thinking of starting to run, well jog when I walk the dog -will I look completely nuts if I'm wearing combat trousers? Would still like to do some sort of obstacle race next year

cjwoofwoof · 30/12/2014 20:33

Rhubarb I volunteer to monitor Musketeers very closely and keep everyone informed of any bare chested moments or low slung frolicking. Must press 'series link' and 'keep' buttons purely for repetitive research purposes you understand.

icemistOBE · 30/12/2014 20:35

I liked musketeers too. Loads of TV shows I like are all on different days too.

OP posts:
cherin · 30/12/2014 20:48

Ah, resolutions...I like those! Well, 2 years ago I started a proper diet and shed 12kg (of which I now have recovered about 3...but sounds acceptable to myself, all things considered. And admitting that the shittiest shit still has to hit me. But I can already smell it. And my typical reaction is comfort baking...so I managed to minimise its effect)
So, my very own NYR is to keep on running, get to 10k (my current best is 8.2), and for the first time in 40years get a decent stomach. I can't even dream of a 6pack (ahahahah), but taking the lard out of the lardominals would make me very happy. Also, more relaxed time with DH and DC without tablets/wifi is in order. I am thinking about a 1 night/week completely screen-free.

(No worries, I can still read you on the way back/to work ;-)

Rhubarb01 · 30/12/2014 20:51

Mmh just googling some images of Mr Cabrera and I can't help thinking there's more than a passing resemblance to a certain Captain! Coincidence?

I also couldn't help laughing at the thought that the BBC would be onto a sure fire winner if they took up all our suggestions for inclusion in the next OG production as they would have employed almost every desirable male actor under the age of 40 (Either actual or at their hey day - I'd include a young Paul Newman in there, bless his soul!). I should think the payroll would bankrupt them!

cjwoofwoof · 30/12/2014 21:05

Ooh yes a young Paul Newman and Robert Redford would be on my wishlist too.

cherin · 30/12/2014 21:10

Let me dig out proof for that (sorry I am repeating myself ;-)
