Nickel I don't know how to do ICloud either as DS did it, but I will find out.

Cherin, how funny about the paper flowers, and dolls. I always wanted a daughter so sounds fun to me!

There's a new chapter of involved FF , chap 7 saving it for later :)

cherin · 29/12/2014 17:32

Fun to me, too. He was also still dressed only in cotton tights (red), following a brisk walk along the seaside and a nap. Basically, it was like being put to sleep by Nureyev. :-)
(If SPO can weave Nureyev and sleeping beauty into the next chapter, he wins the Storyteller prize 2014!)

Richtea19 · 29/12/2014 17:37

I love the ballet and this is the first year I haven't seen the Nutcracker :(

I saw Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall once, totally amazing. I have never seen so many swans on one stage, and we were very close too. The muscles in their legs and arms were incredible. Men in tights wern't bad either Wink

cherin · 29/12/2014 17:43

Well then, you need to casually wander around the sadlers well theatre...there's a ballet school at the old finsbury town hall which has always the windows slightly open, and you can just see the tights of the ballerine/i....makes me think of Fame, everyday :-)

apsara03 · 29/12/2014 19:11

At sil in North webst so going to miss my pre bedtime watching of the episodes on the sky box Sad. Hoping to catch up on involved later though Smile

orphan · 29/12/2014 19:29

I used to be mad about ballet as a girl and actually (you'd never believe it to look at me now) got a place at the Rambert Ballet school but chickened out of leaving home and boarding. Good thing really as I'd never have made it as a dancer. Once I hit puberty, my body changed shape radically!
A birthday treat for me was to see Nureyev in sleeping Beauty. I think it was at the Coliseum. In those days little girls (and women) dressed up in long dresses for the theatre and I still remember my red velvet dress with lacy detailing!!

icemistOBE · 29/12/2014 20:02

Gosh, loads of new ff and a new chapter of involved!!
Plenty to read tonight.

On a serious note an interesting article on the war in Afghanistan and why it went so wrong. www.lrb.co.uk/v36/n24/james-meek/worse-than-a-defeat

elsie3g · 29/12/2014 22:31

Great ff pixel aka Pinerug! Sorry you've been stressed out this Xmas, you're not alone, we had to drop a prior arrangement today due to huge argument at home about something and nothing. Christmas spirit and all that! Slightly more even keel tonight.

Ilovelblue · 29/12/2014 22:52

I must be going mad. Did a second bout of sale shopping with a friend today (the one who saw the clip of CJ in his paddling pool and declared he had a bony chest). Tried a few clothes on, not that I need ANYTHING at all, but it's always nice to get something new. Half thought of something for Bailbrook House and then realised I was actually musing to myself what would CJ think of it! Please tell me I have not totally lost the plot but just have a healthy imagination!

Wow, Involved is......... er - taking an unexpected turn! I see two people on their reviews have likened it to Fifty Shades. I think CJ is infinitely better than Christian Grey! Am going to read Pixie's latest in bed shortly.

Had a very sad phone call about an hour ago. A friend from work rang to say her Mum died earlier today. Not entirely unexpected but the poor woman hadn't a clue what to do next: undertakers, arrangements and the like. I managed to hold it together till she'd rung off but boy, did it bring it all back.

I am a keen photographer and my friend I think gets a bit fed up of my constant clicking (though I am a lot better photographer than she is) so won't think anything of me taking plenty of shots but you might have to wait until I get home to download them and to do a full report on Bailbrook House. Phones are ok, but are exasperating to type on if you are doing a lot. I must check on the date - it's towards the end of February.

Nickel45 · 29/12/2014 22:56

pixie I love your new ff, you've really got into their heads. Brilliant!
I hope things are getting a bit easier for you? X

My DH just came upstairs and said "you know that one fom that program you like ... Well he's on Sky now". Quick gulp thinking my secret was out and a dash downstairs thinking it was BA in something I'd missed and it was Smurf in Game of Thrones!! Quite glad I've never watched it, I didn't like it at all! Definitely not my bag. IR looked quite cute in it, but can't be doing with all that torture and nastiness! So, back to bed with baileys and chocolate, trying it get rid of my stinky cold!

Nickel45 · 29/12/2014 22:59

ilove so sorry to hear about your friends mum, and how upsetting it is for you too. Sending you a big virtual hug.

PS. I've done the same thing, thinking would CJ like something! Think we probably all have a vivid imagination (ff not helping!!!)

apsara03 · 29/12/2014 23:05

Sending hugs Ilove.
You are no madder the the rest of us. I m
know who I was dressing for when I went to London last week!!
thanks for the fanfic pixie

Richtea19 · 30/12/2014 00:44

I've just got in from a night out with some friends, more food, I think I'm going to explode. And I've just read the QS FF, loving it...! Pixie yours is perfect, it's exactly they way I can imagine them both thinking. Thank you, especially as you have been having a tough time.

Ilove I'm totally with you on the new outfit for Bailbrook. When I went to the carols with NVM I took extra effort with makeup and hair, posh frock and heels, and I knew he wasn't going to be there!!! We are all slightly mad!

orphan so very I impressed with your near ballet experience. I can remember dressing up to go to the royal festival hall and all the little girls with their long dresses. My sister did ballet, but had to stop when she went on to points as her 2nd toe was longer than her big toe! I didn't do ballet, probably mum didn't want to go through a similar situation when I was in the brownies.

icemist I tried to get the tesco stag PJ's, but they only had a size 22, and although i have done nothing but pig out they still would of been too big!

icemistOBE · 30/12/2014 07:05

Work again and full of a cold son these pics are purely to make me a bit better

icemist and nckel- hope you're both feeling better today. Keep thinking of CJ like a nice warm hot water bottle to hug. In fact, thinking about it, a hot water bottle with a picture of CJ on the cover is something to add to our range of merchandise. Maybe we need to pitch it to Dragon's Den? As the bottle warms up, maybe CJ's clothes could disappear? (I hope we haven't done that one already on a previous thread and I've just forgotten about it).

I have another Tesco close by so when I next go in, I will take a look for any stag pyjamas and let you know - happy to send them on if they have any.

Pixie great stuff. You have really described this how I imagined. TG eat your heart out!

Good morning
Was recommended to join your group by Jill on Twitter.
Lots of Our Girl chat I hear!

Ilovelblue · 30/12/2014 08:05

Hi mikki66. Yes, we are all totally obsessed on here but are really quite normal people outside of this thread! Welcome to the madness!

pixieg1rl · 30/12/2014 08:16

Thanks for your nice words about the FF. It took me most of the day to get the on the computer and get the thing up. I think I'm nearly done on chapter 2, but might not get on the PC for a few days.

We're down to London today to take DS to a performance of Room on the Broom and I have BIL and family coming to stay over new year.

I hope you're feeling a bit better ilove

Welcome mikki you've found the place for CJ lusting chatter.

orphan · 30/12/2014 09:23

Morning and welcome mikki. If you're interested in how well CJ fills his combats; an alternative zombie world in which Major Morley and Beck are loved up; the nuances of fireside naked wrestling; and numerous merchandising possibilities, then you've definitely found the right place!

pixie I really enjoyed your ff. Loved the two viewpoints.

richtea shame your sister couldn't do points as that's the best bit! I'm so glad my daughter never showed any interest in ballet though cos I'd be a rubbish ballet mum: I can't do neat buns and as for darning point shoes... It was enough of a struggle sewing badges on her Brownie/Guides sash.
