I am very impressed cherin with your run, I can just about getup the stairs. It looks really beautiful where you are.

Mission sales.... I don't think I can bothered. It's so wet and cold here I just want to snuggle in the warm. Ideally watching OG but don't think there is any chance of that. I will have to do with icemists daily photo and the soundtrack. I did manage sone M rated FF last night and this morning in bed - lovely!

I really would like the stag PJ's and my plan is to head of to Tesco tomorrow and hope they have them in.

The house is quiet again, dad has gone home, DS2 is on his new xbox game, DS1 has gone out, under a black cloud as we have had words :(. I hate falling out, he is very stubbon and won't reason. DH and I are going to a party tonight, which now I don't want to go to.

orphan I feel the same about the in between christmas, new year feeling. All the prep for a couple of days and now it's done. I'm actually feeling a bit down, that's probably because of the argument though.

I saw this lovely picture on the Daily Mail website,

Ouch, richtea, is it teenager hormones stubbornness or just normal one? Maybe you could also wrap up well and go out for a brisk walk...it helps!
I took a long nap with DS2, and now feel like a princess (the one on the pile of mattresses with the pea underneath ;-) my in laws bed is fairly atrocious, but I should not say that)
Now coffee and cakes, and all my running was for nothing :-))

cherin · 27/12/2014 14:49

Ps: I am only 1h50' away from stansted airport ;-) but it feels like a million miles....after the run I stopped at a local farm to pick up raw milk and cheese and sausages etc and we met these fellows...

cherin · 27/12/2014 14:52

Like them? :-)

Richtea19 · 27/12/2014 15:05

Cute picture!!!

Yes hormones and very stubborn! I know I will give and call him and I don't want to go out tonight without him being home.

cherin · 27/12/2014 15:19

It's not giving in, I think it's being a good parent ;-)

(The goats made me think of SPO farmer-without-goat in his latest instalment ;-)

orphan · 27/12/2014 16:06

In town on Mission Sales. Very disappointing;am going to head home to fireside (no wrestling sadly) and an early Baileys!
richtea know how you feel when you lock horns with teen boy stubbornness. I always give in first and end up forcing him into a hug cos I hate any falling out...

Richtea19 · 27/12/2014 16:44

My baby's home, I hate arguments, especially when over something so ridiculous. DH still mad, but have asked just him just for now to forget it. DH and I will end up falling out!

Anyway hot chocolate and all is ok with the world. It does mean we are going to the party. It's an old school friend of DHs and his wife and a load of their sons friends parents, so we don't know many people. I'm going to have a little lay down with my OG soundtrack with headphones to get me in the mood.

I'll squeeze in a dress and slap on some makeup, down a prosecco and all will be good! It does mean I have some more new victims to ask if they have any knowledge of CJ!!!! What do we think???!

Beingfrank · 27/12/2014 17:42

Just checking back in for a postChristmas update. We've done the rounds of family and now back home.

So my present scorecard was as follows:

Nespresso machines 2
OG DVDs 0
Yodelling pink cuddly flamingos 1(family joke, don't ask)

I hope DH isn't too upset that his Nespresso machine is the one going back - but looking on the bright side I want to spend the money on a night away instead, will have to make it worth his while Xmas Wink

Might gonna need to buy my own DVD now. Though my dd might have picked up the hints but obviously too subtle!

Nickel45 · 27/12/2014 17:48

Glad your boy is home richtea. I hope it all sorts itself out and that you have a good evening. I waved at you today across the estuary (it is you in Kent, isn't it? If not, I waved to whoever it is!!). Had another bracing walk along the sea wall, and came across a mural painted along the sea wall about the history and floods, it was amazing!

Back home tomorrow. when I am hoping to get my dvd and soundtrack. Fingers crossed!! Then I just need to find the time to enjoy them :)

orphan · 27/12/2014 18:11

Glad all's well richtea. Feeling rather more pleased with the sales since my last post as J Lewis had loads of Philosophy stuff reduced and I found a leather clutch in the sale that I'd had my eyes on before Christmas. Am ditching the Bailey's in favour of cocktail. Cosmopolitan anyone? (Just had a very quick fix of CJ in the form of whatta man video so am feeling in a generous to mankind sort of mood) Xmas Smile

icemistOBE · 27/12/2014 18:37

Evening. Picked up some new trainers and a coat in sales today. Saw plenty of stag stuff that I didn't see before Christmas. I did stop at paying £60 for a stag duvet cover. Need to check tesco near work on Monday for stag pyjamas Smile

Mum and sister go home tomorrow and as much as I'll miss them it will be nice to get the house back into some sort of order.

What brilliant sale purchases! Feeling well Jel! Might gonna need to check check out sales tomorrow!

Feeling much better, got my glad rags on and all scrubbed up. DS and I have had a cuddle and all ok. Bloody kids, he wanted all his mates over this evening knowing we were out! He is one of those boys that wants it all his way!

Nickel yes it's me in Kent, virtual wave! (Not deepest Kent, nearer to London)

Isn't it funny all the new bits we have acquired, nespresso, stag stuff, combats, DVDs. I might gather bits together and take a photo of my all my new OG/CJ related gear.

Orphan I love a cosmopolitan, ever since Sex in The City, very decadent of you :)

i will report back later if I find any OG recruits...

icemistOBE · 27/12/2014 20:35

New QS chapter on ff story involved

Some more bedtime reading -lovely :)
richtea glad all is resolved with DS. Hope you have a lovely evening. Good luck with the recruitment drive. I think I might have converted the friend I met in London. She missed it on tv but I've sent her link to 1st episode on you tube :)
An inventory of all our OG purchases - could be embarrassing interesting. My combat trousers arrived today -Xmas pressie to myself, to add to stag pants, stag pyjamas, stag Christmas crackers, stag Christmas decorations and dvd.

Ilovelblue · 27/12/2014 22:33

Hi all.

cherin very sweet picture - lovely!

richtea I hate arguments like that. Hope yu enjoy your party. Maybe a change of scene will do you good.

I went sales shopping in Manchester and although there was nothing I NEEDED, I came home with several bags. My best bargain was some perfume I didn't get at Christmas. Would have been prepared to pay full price as it is my favourite but found it reduced in House of Fraser from £69 to £46. Decent reduction but then I got another 10% off because the assistant said it was the last one and I had a couple of Love to Shop vouchers so it ended up costing me £27 - bargain or what?

I went to Manchester with one of my neighbours (who is also a friend) but she was dead stroppy as we set off and appeared to be spoiling for a fight for no reason. Thought it was going to be a long day but she seemed to snap out of it and then when we got home, we pooled our joint leftover Christmas fare and downed it all with a bottle of prosecco! It turned out to be a very pleasant evening.

I had seen icemist's tip about the new QS ff and went into the kitchen for a quick fix, on the ostensible excuse of needing to check out a recipe my neighbour was asking about. Now settling down to read it properly. I could do with a really good dose of ff - hope it's as steamy as I hope. Got to watch my evening fix of the restaurant scene first though. I watch it nearly every day.

Night night.

xx

Nickel45 · 28/12/2014 00:11

Ooh, some good sale bargains :)

I've just finally watched Call the Midwife (Molly's nan was mean!!) and Miranda. Mmm ... Tom Ellis is rather nice! Dark curly hair, tall, fit, wonder why I ike him?!? Not quite as good as our CJ, but not bad!!! Found a pic with them both in, not brilliant, but maybe worthy of operation bulge?! Xmas Wink

Evening/Morning All

On the present front. 'someone gave my dog a stag antler for chewing as a present today. I wasn't sure if it was real - but it is. It is disgusting and he's not impressed!

On the plus side I drove through Bath this evening which was looking very nice and thought of you all. (Late confession time is that I live in the West Country and not a million miles away from a certain place!)

Sweet dreams!

Richtea19 · 28/12/2014 02:23

Just back from the party
And despite not wanting to go we had a good time. Spent a lot of the time in the kitchen as always, and DH for a LONG period of time was being monopolised by blonde women...... When questioned later he had met her at a previous do. Her husband was there. I was quite jealous! Maybe because I have gone from blonde to brunette? Anyway made me really realise how much I adore DH!!! I must be drunk... And will read back on this in the morning and laugh! Anyway I have decided grass is not greener on the other side unless it's BA/CJ who is asking???

I really want to read FF but just too tired. I will save until the morning.

ILove, glad your shopping went well and everyone else that went. Operation Tesco tomorrow .
Night all x x

Richtea19 · 28/12/2014 02:28

Nickel you mentioned Tom Ellis who is lovely and wavey hair, I have also spotted someone of interest, he is in the Good Wife and so appeared in Downton on Christmas Day. I can't remember his name but at the time I googled him (stalker or what!) and he comes from Devon!!! Do they bread stunning handsome men???? Holiday in Devon anyone?
Must go to sleep I have room spin, that did predictive text SPO !

Ilovelblue · 28/12/2014 07:35

Richtea glad the party went well. At least it was a change of scene. Did you find any new recruits for OG? Hope you don't have a hangover today!

Thick frost here this morning. In no rush to get up.

icemistOBE · 28/12/2014 08:26

Good morning

Ooh yes Tom Ellis is rather nice too. Must check out Downton for the nice man... I need an OG fix too!

Great pictures icemist, I'm looking forward to being back home today so I can overdose on watch a little of OG. Missing it too. Hopefully Downton will have recorded so I can watch that, I really wasn't that bothered about watching it once I'd seen OG, but am more keen now . . . Just for research purposes, of course!! Have a good day all :-)

orphan · 28/12/2014 10:01

Morning! Love the pic selection this morning icemist.

I think I know who you mean richtea. Is it Matthew Goode? He has been on my 'wouldn't mind if I do' radar for a while. Tall, slim, dark haired, nice nose, but only minor drawback is (for me) a very slightly weak chin. He was also in The imitation Game and was brilliant in the weird and unsettling film Stoker with Nicole Kidman.

orphan · 28/12/2014 10:07

Just google image searched Tom Ellis and I can recommend it! He is better unclothed in my opinion. There's some quite pleasant underwear type shots...Xmas Wink
