Morning all. Great photos!

Nickel I love the twitter cartoon, very appropriate!

I don't watch Eastenders but I might gonna have to watch that episode now. Everyone is still asleep in the house so I have just read some FF. There's a re Zombie chapter, yet again so funny. How does SPO do it?? Christmas day too! Also another one from Jenmc, Involved. Very good including some QS, not bad for first thing in the morning .. Set me up for the day.

Off to my sisters today, which be fun, silly games and more present unwrapping, more food and wine.... Grin

orphan · 26/12/2014 09:49

Oh dear, another day of too much food and drink about to start. Round to some friends for more prosecco (must have had a serious effect on stocks in our area) later this morning but might take some persuading to move the kids who seem entrenched in their beds!

Another great chapter spo. A lovely way to start the day, coupled I have to add with some QS from the involved ff. (Thanks richtea for the heads up - can rely on you for QS alert!Xmas Wink).

Have a good day everyone!

Ilovelblue · 26/12/2014 10:28

Morning all!

SPO is so funny - I loved the reference to Prince Harry!

Also very much enjoyed the Involved ff. That was some Christmas present Molly got! Put a smile on my face as well!

Quiet day here today and hoping to be able to indulge in more alcohol than yesterday, then it's off to the sales in Manchester tomorrow so I will definitely need to stay focused and alert for that!

icemistOBE · 26/12/2014 11:44

Loved the latest one from SPO and the QS was indeed, the nuts! A very nice Christmas present Grin

Just checking in whilst rest of household glued to Chelsea tv (my eldest sons Xmas present - years subscription, so that will probably put paid to any A Level mock revision for him humph! Not my brightest idea). Need to catchup on the ff, esp SPOs and any QS on offer after being reminded (as if I need to be) of CJs perfection in icemists pics this morning. My thoughts are defo returning to full combats, headsets and stern faces after all the Christmas furore; missing my daily dvd catchup like marmite toast when you're on holiday...

Richtea19 · 26/12/2014 14:10

We have just done presents at my sisters, I got a stag T-Towel and a candle holder thing with stag on!! My sister said I knew you were going on about liking stag stuff this Christmas! So funny.

Also we were talking about GoT and I said I needed to be snowed in, in order to watch them all and DH said well she won't have time as she watches OG every day!!! How rude!! But so very true, ha ha :)

icemistOBE · 26/12/2014 14:21

I have my stag pants (tesco with bell) on today and very jealous of my mum as she has stag pyjamas! I need to see what shop they came from!

OP posts:
Richtea19 · 26/12/2014 14:30

Yes please Icemist pls find out where there from!

apsara03 · 26/12/2014 14:46

Morning all -well afternoon as didn't manage to post till now. Just got back from the gym so gave hopefully worked off the food and drink from yesterday. Can't believe that I was actually pleased it was metafit - which in my head is a CJ PT session . The Instructor looks a bit like kinders -he probably doesn't but it keeps me focused and digging in Smile
prosecco going down nicely here too as I don't have to drive today.
looking forward to the fan fic later doubt it will be before bedtime -something nice to look forward to

icemistOBE · 26/12/2014 16:15

Stag pyjamas are from Tesco!

Hope you have all had a relaxing day. I've taken the kids for a run (they run, I walk!!) out along the sea front again, hopefully they'll sleep better tonight. Looking forward to the involved ff Xmas Blush after they've gone to sleep!

Think I might gonna need a trip to tesco! Rubbish one near us had no stag pants, but a big store near here.

cherin · 26/12/2014 18:32

I am at ILs in further-away-country, and had to stop me from giggling when we drove past a big advertising board of a local radio. The presenters' faces were photoshopped over stags heads, and antlers mounted so they'd pop out of the board, towards the top. Now way near the look of a CJ (quite the opposite) but made me laugh anyway.
I am stuffed and stiff, tomorrow no matter what I'll go running. Seaside! Proper blue sea! I just hope weather will stay nice.

I loved SPO's latest chapter, it's getting really catching (suspense and all), lets see what happens to our friends down the rabbit hole (will they find "eat me" cookies on the Talibans' table?)
;-)
The Involved ff is also good. Molly gets lots of Xmas cheer, lucky girl! I managed to watch half of episode 1 last night on YouTube, I had been in conscious withdrawal for weeks and I got the confirmation that its still as good as I remembered...plus I enjoy some parts that I had not noticed before ("they're sending me to Coventry, sir", "ouch, that's worst than Helmand" :-))

moojangles · 26/12/2014 18:38

Had forgotten about the big tesco, not got one at home. About to go above and beyond & pay another visit to MILXmas Shock

Had totally forgotten that my mum uses bleeders & a smattering of rhyming slang tooXmas Grin

orphan · 26/12/2014 19:09

Quick check in. At least today managed a bracing walk in between the food and prosecco! Still not had an opportunity to watch the DVD. Is this some new form of torture? CJ in my grasp, but not able to give him my full attention. (Wish it was a close up of CJ on the DVD cover so that at least I could gaze at him as I clutch it.)

Ilovelblue · 26/12/2014 19:37

cherin further-away-country sounds like a lovely fairy tale! Hope you are having a great time.

I have a confession. It is pouring with rain up here this afternoon. In fact, snow is forecast but I would be surprised really and the BBC forecasts for my town just say heavy rain. Anyway, it was a good enough excuse to have an OG fest and I fell asleep, listening to CJ's dulcet tones in my favourite restaurant scene in the final episode. I'm quite ashamed. I can't even blame the wine as I was just on cups of tea at the time!

Been having a quick look to see if there is any news on BA on any website but he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

Richtea19 · 26/12/2014 20:08

apsara I can't believe you got to the gym!! Very impressed. I have done nothing but eat and drink, really not good for the waist line. I will try to focus up tomorrow.

I would love the idea of snow. It would be a massive excuse to do nothing other than watch OG. We are staying at my sisters tonight but back early to sort out cats and drop dad home. Boys are off to football so I am hoping for a sit down with OG tomorrow.

I do wonder what BA is up to, i can imagine he is with his beautiful family, and perhaps back in london for New Year? I wish he would tweet. Maybe we will get something for new year.

icemistOBE · 27/12/2014 00:08

Having OG/CJ/BA withdrawal symptoms. Need an hour to myself to watch my fave bits

Having a lovely Christmas otherwise. Sister asked if she could borrow my our girl dvd set and bring it back next time she's over! Told her no way and pointed her towards iTunes - like my copy is ever leaving my house

OP posts:
Ilovelblue · 27/12/2014 08:29

icemist I wouldn't want to loan my copy out either, well not at the moment anyway. I thought somebody at my Strictly party was going to ask to borrow it snd I had my excuse ready but she didn't ask in the end. At least your sister was interested though.

Sale shopping today. Definitely need to stay focused, stay alert and stay alive!

No snow here. Looks as if we escaped as 30 miles south, it was quite bad.

icemistOBE · 27/12/2014 09:15

Morning
Off shopping today. Had a lovely lie-on this morning as mum got up with boys.

Morning :) I had a successful trip to Tesco, got stag pjs! No stag pants, but got reindeer ones, with a bell!! Probably more excited about them than I should be!! Now avoiding the shops, can't bear it with two kids in tow. Had heavy rain and wind last night, but still going to make the little monsters run around outside ... somewhere, hopefully with a cafe near by!

I'm also missing OG/CJ, feels a bit mental, but resorting to watching those YouTube clips with lots of bits on. I like the I don't want to change you one, and of course, whatta man! Sigh!!

apsara03 · 27/12/2014 11:12

Morning. Operation sales support successfully completed whilst DH and DSs Completed operation snow man. Off to toys r us in a bit to spend DSs Xmas money - will definitely need to stay focused and alert.
Enjoy your day

cjwoofwoof · 27/12/2014 11:48

Morning all. No snow here only gales overnight. I was hoping we might gonna need some army rescue like during the floods last winter, preferably in full desert combats, but no joy Xmas Sad. In full OG withdrawal mood last night sitting down sulking as DSs put on Into the Storm(?) dvd, and who should be in it but Richard Armitage with a rather silly American accent, but every cloud I suppose. He was rather heroic in the end but no uniforms sigh.

orphan · 27/12/2014 12:04

Mission Sales this afternoon, but I don't really have the heart for it. Just wet here and I'd far rather snuggle up indoors andfinally watch the DVD.

I find the immediate aftermath of Christmas a bit odd. All the anticipation over and just the 'eaten and drunk too much' feeling left!

cherin · 27/12/2014 12:17

Me just finished running here, it was windy but fairly mild, weather is turning to strong gale so I choose a good 1h time slot ;-)
Legs are really on bad shape, breathing too, a combination of too much food and old cough...but i was repeating myself that I had to give 100%....
