Doh! I see what you mean now. Yes, I think so. The Tony/Mabel marriage will probably feature too as that's set to take place in London in December.

Oooh yes - Princess is dead from cholera (love the diamonds in dress idea, v v good), Violet gets to marry her Prince, and still retains rank over Isobel - who will see sense and marry her beau despite the awful sons.

SirChenjin · 09/11/2014 23:16

Oh no - Tony and Mabel to be the Christmas wedding? Shock. A total non event, surely??

Well, that will put a damper on the festivities Sad

MirrorMirror · 09/11/2014 23:22

Who cares about Tony and Mabel? I struggled to remember who they were let alone expect their wedding to feature in the Christmas specialHmm

CrumpleHornedSnorkack · 09/11/2014 23:23

It'll be the spurious reason for having a London based Christmas

Aren't they going to be in Northumberland with the Sinderbys for the Christmas episode? I was assuming that was what was implied by Lady Sinderby inviting them all to stay.

tribpot · 09/11/2014 23:34

Yes, I assumed they were off to the Sinderbys, esp as the episode presumably isn't meant to happen as far in the future as Christmas, but in the grouse-shooting (?) season in the summer. If Tom is still pissing about deciding whether or not to go to America in the winter this will be the second longest decision of his life, after 17 years mooning after Sybil whilst he lovingly polished the bonnet of the Bentley on her visits to the garage.

BOFster · 09/11/2014 23:39

Why has the idea of Anna becoming pregnant only just been raised between her and Bates, btw? Surely they've been married about ten years by now? And they haven't been using contraception, from all the discreet mutterings last episode. Sorry to be crass, but if it was going to happen, wouldn't it have been years ago?

Chippednailvarnish · 09/11/2014 23:44

Their first Jewish Christmas! Violet will love that!

MrJollyLivesNextDoor · 09/11/2014 23:55

Were Rose's brother and sister at her wedding? Confused

steff13 · 10/11/2014 03:41

I'm in the US, and most of my friends are behind on the series, so I don't have anyone to talk about it with; I'm glad I found this page.

I'm just now watching tonight's episode. I am starting to hate Mary. She doesn't know the truth about Marigold, but I doubt she'd be any kinder if she did.

diddl · 10/11/2014 07:41

i said a while back that I'd wondered if it was Baxter who killed Greene.

But if so, how was Anna identified?

Because she went to the scene at a later date??

QuillPen · 10/11/2014 08:09

I think it'll be an Anna did it, no she didn't Bates has confessed he did it, no actually Baxter has relented and confessed and she did it. Something like that. And somewhere in there Anna will be pregnant (maybe that makes Baxter confess?). Hopefully then it will turn out that it was someone completely different (one of the other women he attacked) and Baxter only confessed to save Anna and Bates. Then Baxter and Molsley can get married and be happy together.

There will also be a new dog, lots of loving Marigold, the wedding of Tony and wotsit and Mary will discover something about herself. And Tom will leave (he did say he was leaving to go to America after Christmas).

R4roger · 10/11/2014 08:17

perhaps Mary will go with Tom?
Why doesnt Isabel marry the doctor?
And will Marigold be happy in the house, being adopted and so not actually part of the family
but perhaps Edith will tell her?

LillianGish · 10/11/2014 08:41

Sorry - am late joiner to this thread and this may have been discussed earlier, but I feel sure someone here will be able to give me an answer. Can anyone remember what actually happened when Green was murdered. I thought we saw Mr Bates on the pavement with him - I didn't think Anna was even in London at the time. So long ago I can't remember. Thanks for putting me out of my misery.

R4roger · 10/11/2014 08:58

i was trying to remember the same Lilian, was it a man or a woman? I assumed it would be a man. I think they think it is Bates

LillianGish · 10/11/2014 09:02

In wondered if they'd arrested Mrs Bates in the hope of prompting a confession from Bates himself.

diddl · 10/11/2014 09:18

If Anna wasn't even in London at the time the whole thing is ridiculous!

omri · 10/11/2014 09:24

I thought Anna was in London though - as Mary was in London and had tea with gillingham that day... Have to go back and watch my box set before Christmas special !!

Pipbin · 10/11/2014 09:28

Right Omri, you are hereby given the day off from all other tasks and you must watch the boxed set from beginning to end.

diddl · 10/11/2014 09:34

I was just thinking to myself that Mary & Gillingham had been in London, but had Anna?
