What's your all-time favourite TV theme tune?

Inspired by the passing of James Garner, as The Rockford Files had a pretty cool theme tune composed by Mike Post (who also wrote the Hill Street Blues and A-Team themes, amongst others).

For me, it has be a tie between The Littlest Hobo & (despite it's rather dodgy lyrics) The Fall Guy. Oh, and the lovely sweeping orchestral piece that Granada used to play at closedown (remember those?!) in the 1980s.

Brecon - that is a lovely tune. Funnily enough, it was the B-side to the aforementioned Van Der Valk theme!

My best friend and I were fairly well addicted to a single of The Tripods theme tune when we were young - but B side too.

They are all similar to The Tripods, but I've always liked Casualty and The Crystal Maze. Also University Challenge when it had a sod off boingggg from the timpani rather than a delicate twang on a viola or whatever.

Oh and I forgot All Creatures Great and Small and Ski Sunday.
