What's your all-time favourite TV theme tune?

Inspired by the passing of James Garner, as The Rockford Files had a pretty cool theme tune composed by Mike Post (who also wrote the Hill Street Blues and A-Team themes, amongst others).

For me, it has be a tie between The Littlest Hobo & (despite it's rather dodgy lyrics) The Fall Guy. Oh, and the lovely sweeping orchestral piece that Granada used to play at closedown (remember those?!) in the 1980s.

Jonathan Creek is danse macabre by Saint SAens.

Wickeddevil I was looking for the theme to Horses Galore but I think it was only on our local shit ITV station and it's not on Youtube. Could that have been it?

Love all the above classic telly tunes, but a recent corker was The Wire, which had different artists doing the same song on easy season. 'Gotta keep the devil, way down in the hole.'

Anybody mentioned the racing car one by Fleetwood Mac?

And Taggart was pretty good too :)
