What's your all-time favourite TV theme tune?

Inspired by the passing of James Garner, as The Rockford Files had a pretty cool theme tune composed by Mike Post (who also wrote the Hill Street Blues and A-Team themes, amongst others).

For me, it has be a tie between The Littlest Hobo & (despite it's rather dodgy lyrics) The Fall Guy. Oh, and the lovely sweeping orchestral piece that Granada used to play at closedown (remember those?!) in the 1980s.

Favourite is Blake's 7. Really love the ITV Tour de France music, and miss it every year the race finishes.

If anyone remembers a bonkers series called Kingdom Hospital was used for the titles and is rather good.

Another vote for hill street blues. Reminds me of being in labour with DD2.

Early Doors. Sweet, sad little song, perfectly captures the melancholy low key humour of the series.

And The Waltons, the sound of my childhood, sitting down to watch with my parents and sister. Pure nostalgia.
