how do you solve a problem like maria

does anyone know why emily, the gobby one, no longer is appearing in the final 10 line up for the live shows? she seems to have been replaced by siobhan, the gorgeous one who blew it by having a cold all week. I liked emily!

I thought Meliz sang really well in the sing off ... after thinking she was the worst of the bunch for the last couple of weeks!

Missed tonight's show. Think Connie is way more professional than the rest - she should get the job IMO.

Helena's always looks so miserable , even with an upbeat song. Not sure ALW really knows who is who but obviously has his faves, so some are already also rans.

LIZS, agree re Helena! She always looks like she is about to burst into tears! Hardly Maria. Think Siobhan will go soon and Leanne. Siobhan is lovely but the songs she chooses are awful - ie 'Jump' yesterday. Why? And she did say that she chose this song although some of the other girls said hey had no choice. Connie is the obvious choice although so 'stagey' I cringe a bit. Was funny when Graham Norton did the chat bit with her saying it was all lovely and how they were all best of friends having the time of their lives - he was soooo disbelieving But do feel for Simone whom the others are snubbing because she won't join in. She is culturally isolated amongst the Essex girls etc. Give her a break

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but GN said one of the "Marias" is known to the crew as monster due to her primadonna nature but that he thought the viewers would probably like her.

Money is on Connie being the monster then!

Think Simona is the monster myself although did feel that Connie over reacted about the assault course.

I really thought it had to be Connie - but she is beginning to annoy me now - that wide eyed smiley 'pro' stagey face.

I am liking aiofe (?) and actually rather warming to abbi - who are pals in RL are they not?
Think Siobhan is great but hasn't the acting prescence at the moment.

So far it's Connie who would give them a return on their £4,000,000 investment methinks although I was mightily impressed with Abbie this week and hadn't previously rated her.

Hope it's not Simona - we've got tickets booked for December and I'll be so disappointed if she's Maria.

My money's on Connie - I think she's in a different league to the others.
I do particularly like Aoife [sp?] though, and also Abi.
Much to my surprise I liked Siobhan this week as well.

I can't stand Helena, I think she pulls ugly faces when she sings; and definitely should have been out this week.

I missed the bit last week where they did a bit of acting though. We do need to see some acting.

(I can't remember the name of the person who was out last week, but didn't she have an amazing voice?)

I really like Abi and am warming to Aoife...Connie looks right but there's something too stagey about her,if that makes sense...Meliz made me think of Nancy Dell'Olio for some reason...

I too saw in the paper they already have a maria,but as they do up to 8 shows a week they need another maria,does anyone else think ALW looks all deformed sitting in that chair.He has a huge head and then a tiny chest,it looks like a tiny body with a huge false head on top,he isnt the most handsome of men either..

Think the irish one should win - hate simona, what a diva and connie is just soo feckin sickly sweet, and siobhan - tweezers, tweezers, tweezers - the girl frowns and her face disappears behind those hairy slugs - and sorry she cannot sing in tune - why they think she can I don;t know - Jump last week - well the beginning of that was atrocious!!

And Melize - pretty but thats about it!!

Oooohhhh and ALW may as well have his hands down his pants - what a vile little perv he is - he looks like he is having a proper fiddle with himself somethimes!!

Helena her face goes mad when she sings, very off putting.
I think Siobhan was one of the btter actors when ALW did some acting with them Siiobhan Connie and Simona can all act allegedly.
Connie just seems too perfect - but it is adamn hard role so the most professional should do it, it would be dreadful to choose someone who failed.
I think Simona and Leanne will get offered other roles off the back of this too, I heard there is a bursary that the cost of the phone calls is going towards for some of the better finalists (ie not all 10)

So Simona has finally gone - they really just couldn't see her as Maria and fluffing the lyrics of Memory wasn't going to get her far. Who's going off later then ?
