how do you solve a problem like maria

does anyone know why emily, the gobby one, no longer is appearing in the final 10 line up for the live shows? she seems to have been replaced by siobhan, the gorgeous one who blew it by having a cold all week. I liked emily!

Yep, methinks Helena or Abi to go next week. Abi's just . . . yuk.

Helena, she needs to play a tragic role. Someone who dies, for example. I can see her greetin' into her hankie, blurting out some tripe line like, 'Love means never having to say you're sorry,' or some other tosh like that.

my prediction is that if siobhan wins, connie will be taken on as understudy for when siobhan breaks down and can't do it.

sorry i thought she was bad with the children - more interested in her hair.

Leeanne went later on. tbh think the fact she is so short didn't help her cause, particularly if needing to play opposite John Barrowman who is tall. It just wouldn't gel on stage somehow. She didn't work well with the kids either.
She was more eldest daughter material atm but her time will come.

Simona picked a song with lots of l's which proved her accent was still alive and strong unfortunately.

I must come to Abi's defence - I do like her,though her performance not v good this week and she has a really nice face - but Siobhan was fantastic last night - it was really beautiful and brought tears to my eyes...felt like voting for Helena too, poor girl !
And I don't like Leanne as a performer - she looks like a little puglike (though pugs are cute) - she has nice freckles though,without make up.
Think Siobhan will win,though Aoife looks completely right.
I have just bought a Sound of Music cd and ds was singing 'I have confidence in me' while he was attempting to swim a width without floats !! (he did it too)

Connie's desperate eyes annoy me soooo much, even though I can see that she is very professional.

Have I missed something really fundamental? Is John Barrowman going to play the Captain?

Also agree about Connies "desperate eyes" - but despite that and my strong feelings about Siobhan, I think she is the one who should win.

I like Abi's voice and attitude, it's just a shame she sings out of tune sometimes. I imagine that Aoife comes across better on stage then on TV.
I think Simona's pronunciation of 'morning' as 'moaning' in 'Memories' was probably the nail in the coffin.

I don't rate Abi at all and she doesn't have the right look for Maria at all. IMO, but I'm not ALW!

That's what doesn't quite sit well with me ! I don't know but as he was part fo the panel and talks about his leading lady then may be I just misread it ? Haven't seen any of the publicity for the actual show but they must have cast the rest by now and perhaps even be in rehearsal.

I like ALW first time ever I have seen a bit of his personality and he is a v nice man.
All the girls make me laugh as they are so ambitious but connie is worst I think her eyes are going to pop out!

aGREE noddy - he is so nice and encouraging to the ones who are leaving, acknowledging that they are very talented but simply not right for this particular part.

you know and connie knows she is good but i think shes too good for the part of maria. she makes me sick as she knows shes she is good but you no what abi is gonna be maria i think she looks like her and dosnt think she is something thats she is not. plain jain and gets better by the day.
