...in the Archers?

Or is it just my devious mind?

I haven't laughed like that in a long time. Fab stuff, PretendFriend, even better than the spoof they did on the radio for Children in Need last year (or was it the year before? Oh dear). Keep it up and I'll add this to my watchlist.

PretendFiend · 26/10/2006 10:18

Slightly-foxed has done scripts for the whole week - a kind soul on TA has linked them all on one thread over there (and he added another just below, you have to scroll to the top on that one). They are all completely brilliant.

Alternative Archers by Slightly-Foxed

PretendFiend · 26/10/2006 10:20

Oh, read the one he added first, that's from last Friday if I counted on my fingers correctly. (I do not like that silly "6 days ago" business)

pineneedle · 27/10/2006 19:52

oooh, the curse of the Cowman!!! Sam's in big trouble! Can't wait for the Hallowe'en episode!

am getting a bit fed up with silly ruth and pshyco sam at the moment and am hoping for come uppance very very soon.... almost tempted to switch it off so i don't have to hear ruth being all indecisive about whther she should leave her hubby of 15 odd years... who's seen her through cancer etc ... had three kids with... to run off with sam like i said the pshyco... and i know david started it... but like usha said the other night... how can one min she's absoutely jealous over david and sohphie and now she's all of a sudden willing to leave him just becaise sam says she 'beautiful'.... eugh! pass me the sick bag....

whoops sorry... as yo can tell i can get quite caught up with teh archers.... must remind myself that it really is only a radio soap!!!!

You mean they're not real people Bea? Personally, I think Roof needs a darned good slapping. But that'll be nothing compared to what PsychoSam is going to do when she stays with Dayvid.

But moving on to far more important plot developments, Brian involved in the panto is just going to be priceless. Can't wait.

holidaymum · 02/11/2006 13:33

Has anyone heard the trailor for next Tuesdays episode? Sounds like its going to be a biggy!

I agree this storyline needs to end now! Bring back Kenton.

PretendFriend · 02/11/2006 13:38

See my post at Monday, 23 October, 2006 10:14:52 PM, hm!

clumsymum · 02/11/2006 13:45

I really think it's time David found them snogging behind the milking machine.

Then him and Sam could have good bloody-nose type fisticuffs, and Roof could be despatched crying back to Prudda for a couple of weeks, before she is allowed to crawl back and be a proper dutiful wife for a while.

I'm dying to know what Phil and Jill are going to say when all this comes out.

Where are Phil and Jill atm?

WhizzBangCaligula · 02/11/2006 13:56

I think it's time Ruth was murdered.

That's what I'm holding out for.

She is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying. And always has been.

PretendFriend · 02/11/2006 14:04

Phil and Jill are on right now in fact (at the grape-picking - isn't this a bit late for grape-picking?)

Deevid turns up late without Ruth, who told Jill yesterday she would be coming...Jill has started musing...Sophie hasn't left the area yet...MIL is now on the case

WhizzBangCaligula · 02/11/2006 14:06

LOL, doncha love jill as a MIL

Adam and Ian are so gruesome

Nigel and Elizabeth are saps

In fact is there anyone not ghastly in the Archers? I've been listening and loathing for 20 years!

clumsymum · 02/11/2006 14:52

I'm sorry, I know this is not politically correct, but

Ian and Adam in this episode ...... BLEUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Please, Please can we get back to Wills pheasants, and the Deer, and some Hasset Hills produce.

All this business of affairs and gay marriages is just tooooo much

beckybrastraps · 02/11/2006 14:56

What is going on with David? Why have they made him into such an arse? He was always a bit of a stick, but the Sophie thing is NOT David. He took Ruth for granted, but he still loved her. Shameless storyline contrivance IMO.

And I find Adam's voice the most annoying on radio. Yes, even more than Ruth or Emma.

WhizzBangCaligula · 02/11/2006 14:57

No Ruth is more annoying

Do you mean Emmurrrrrr?

beckybrastraps · 02/11/2006 15:00

Sorry. I will have to disagree. Ruth is indeed very annoying. And Emma (or Emmuuuuur) and Will both have that whiney tone that makes me want to slap them. But there is something about Adam that really makes my skin crawl. I can't put my finger on it, but .......

clumsymum · 02/11/2006 15:01

We haven't heard from Alistair for ages. Is he still going to GA? They're talking about him taking a role in the panto, but I can't see him having time if he needs to troop off to GA meetings all the time.

catew · 02/11/2006 16:56

I reckon Jill is going to go to see Ruth whilst David is out to have a friendly chat and come a cross Ruth and Sam in a compromising position !

BoingBoing · 02/11/2006 18:40

I'd have to disagree that ALL the characters are annoying. OK, Kenton can be a tad so on occasion, but generally he's a good laugh, particularly when pi$$ing off Saint Shoe-la. And how could anyone describe Brine as annoying?! He's the best thing in it, along with that fantastic double act of Puss-Cat and Tiger.

Most of the rest could fall off a cliff and not be missed, though.

PretendFriend · 02/11/2006 19:06

Oh I do love Brian!!!!!!

BoingBoing · 02/11/2006 19:19

Fantastic Brian! 'Can you keep it secret'. Love it. And Tiger's comment too. This is why I love the Archers.

Was rather hoping Will was about to get shot though, or anticipating the epi ending with a gunshot leaving us all wondering if it was Will or Ed. Queue Emmurrr and her whining... Oh well.
