Does anyone else want to bang Ruth and Davids heads together? David is VERY annoying and imho the latest storyline presented him being completely out of character. Where did all of his common sense advice to Brian about Siobban (sp?) go? And now Ruth has had a personality transplant too! Am finding it all rather cringeworthy now.

agree Winnie - that's what annoys me about soaps (and normally doesn't happen in Archers). David and Ruth are both the archetypal sensible ones - I can't really see this scenario happening

Lilymaid, Archers characters have predestined fates. Neither the Grundys nor Kenton will never have a really successful business, Debbie won't have a happy relationship and Kirstie will continue to be ditched in fancy restaurants. For that reason, Ruth and David won't split up. She wasn't sounding all that keen on Sam today, was she? So Sam will have to go, but that probably won't mean Kirstie ends up with someone better.

I have only heard snippets - but it made me wonder if Ruth has considered who would get custody of the cows ? And I guess the kids come into it somewhere as well.

Thought it was a bit much - her giving Deeeevid a hard time for "just one kiss" - and then legging it off the Sam whenever Deeevid was not there.

when deevid goes to brian for advice we will know we are in trouble, but haalerger is right, a parish councillor ( and defo an archer) will never split up, and anyway after all that hassle over brookfields inheritence who would tell Elizabeth!

LOL my theory is that Sam is a wierdie obsessive type who will murder Ruth when she refuses to leave Deevid.

Sam is obviously going to be dropped and will have to find pastures new. Enter a new cow man who must be either the new love of her life for Emmurr or love of his life for Ian (such a nice bloke really can't stay forever with the ghastly Adam). There should be loads of angst and not much work for the agricultural story editor. Deevid will be a wonderful dwarf and Ruth will learn to sew in order to make his and Pip's (Snow White with attitude) costumes. Dah dee dah dee dah dee dah ...

Oh, Kenton will be back soon - there is some arcane rule with TA, something like they can only have 7 characters per episode or 42 episode-characters per week, so when you have Deevid + Rooth + Sam + Sophie in every episode for days on end it doesn't leave much speaking time for anyone else.

There's a big TA anniversary of some kind on Nov 7 apparently (I read it in a post on the TA website) so the poster assumes that there will be a big bust-up at that point and then normal service will be resumed
