...in the Archers?

Or is it just my devious mind?

i've been listening to the archies closely this week - and just realised ROOTH AND DEYVID HAVE ANOTHER CHILD CALLED BEN
I know this has been obvious to everyone for ages but I'd forgotten about him

Frieda · 08/11/2006 13:49

Yes, and I think Ruth has, too.

Like your idea, joelallie

harpsichordcarrier · 08/11/2006 14:57

ooooooh the excitement...
I predict a bloodbath, me

Well I was thoroughly disappointed with the whole thing. How predictable was that?

Dull, dull, dull.

But I am proud that I started this on 22 June, and it's still going strong , and I was right

Oooh, top marks for guessing that she went to Usha's, Lio! Is TA your specialist subject?

did you hear what the announcer said today after the ep... a surprise for david and ruth... do you think she's preggers??

would be david of course wouldn't it as sam and ruth didn't do any horizontal dancing!!!!!

Fauve · 09/11/2006 21:25

On another note, I think Brian is going to leave the farm to Ruaridh.

Hallgerda · 10/11/2006 09:09

bea, I'm afraid I think a muntjac or hedgehog head in the bed left by Sam-turned-bunnyboiler is a more likely surprise.

jura, you were right. I think it's a bit of a damp squib though.

milge · 10/11/2006 21:10

Oh, thank you bundle! I have been wanting to join this thread, but haven't been able to work out how to write down "Ruth and David" as said by Ruth, and you have done it for me -
"ROOTH AND DEYVID"
Hurrah!

catew · 10/11/2006 22:56

They didnt make very much of the 15,000 episode i cant even remember the guy saying it was before hand! not that that really matters I am so glad Ruth didnt stay with Sam am I the only one who was shouting at the radio for her to turn back after he told her he was ready and waiting HELP

CricketSoph · 11/11/2006 21:12

oooo, i'm not so sure the resignation will be the end of it (though at a bit of a disadvantage cus i didn't actually HEAR friday's ep and I'm just relying on the email update).

I reckon Sam/someone else might let something slip to Deyvid.

On a side note DH not happy with this whole storyline cus Rooth and Deyvid's marriage seemed to be the only stable one and the writers have messed about with it just for the sake of it... then again, this apparently isn't real life...

catew · 13/11/2006 11:56

How boring was that i think he is going to get his revenge though !

caffeinequeen · 21/11/2006 14:14

BRIAN! and Adam and Ian's wedding!

harpsichordcarrier · 21/11/2006 14:17

oh I know, what a grumpy selfish old sod, after all that Jennifer has had to put up with.

sophiewd · 21/11/2006 14:34

Just got back from Hungary. Most disappointed not to run into Debbie for a drink or two

harpsichordcarrier · 21/11/2006 14:37

or that lovely student they had on the farm a few years ago...
what was his name

Fauve · 21/11/2006 14:40

Can anyone explain a bit of Archers genealogy to me, pleeeeaaase? Is Brian actually the Daddy of Adam, Debbie, Kate and Alice? For some reason, I think Jennifer had at least one of them before she married him. And I'm convinced he's going to want to leave the farm to Ruaridh.

JanH · 21/11/2006 14:42

Brian is Kate & Alice's dad, Fauve. Adam's dad was never officially declared I don't think, but was assumed to be a bloke called Paddy Redmond (who used to work in Ambridge), and Debbie's was Roger Travers-Macy (whoever he was).

Jennifer was a bit of a goer

JanH · 21/11/2006 14:44

Have just listened again - that was nasty of Brian

Fauve · 21/11/2006 14:46

Thanks - you're such an expert, JanH! I suppose she was a bit of a goer in Ambridge terms, wasn't she? How noble of Brian to take her on So what do you think about Ruaridh getting the farm, then, eh? Presumably Brian would rather it went to a son anyway?

harpsichordcarrier · 21/11/2006 15:24

oh yes he will leave it to Ruaridh I think so save Ian getting his paws on it
he's a bit unrecontructed, old Brian, isn't he?
