...in the Archers?

Or is it just my devious mind?

OP posts:
bea · 07/11/2006 19:39

BoingBoing.. posts crossed! great minds think alike!!!!

Frieda · 07/11/2006 19:42

Oh, bea, I think she'll have to. How else is she going to explain how she drove all the way to Oxfod and back in one night (unless she explains she suddenly realised she doesn't know where Laura the Invisible lives - and Dave would probably be silly enough to accept that...)

In any event, Sam is going to have to leave after this

BoingBoing · 07/11/2006 19:44

Well, the guy's always been a nutter. But unfortunately, we've already had a suicide with Greg the 'keeper, so that won't happen, and Sam is way more psycho than Greg ever was. Too much time watching heiffers bulling methinks......

wanderingstar · 07/11/2006 19:44

I let ds3 pickle in the bath for ages just so I could listen in peace next door !
I don't think it's over yet..
Blackmail ?
Unspeakable tension and threats leading up to a violent denouement ?
Bring it on !

throckenholt · 07/11/2006 19:47

I agree with pineneedle - very much an anticlimax after all those bl**dy adverts.

Frieda · 07/11/2006 19:49

A scene with a mudbound Sam and Dave wrestling in the cowsheds, perhaps?

While Rooth looks on exclaiming, "Ooooooh noooooooo!"

BoingBoing · 07/11/2006 19:49

That's Vanessa bl**dy Whitburn for you, Throckenholt.

BoingBoing · 07/11/2006 19:51

LOL, Frieda.

mrsflowerpot · 07/11/2006 19:53

I think Sam will turn stalker on her. They have to make this last until Christmas, I reckon.

funnypeculiar · 07/11/2006 20:00

hellloooo archers lovers - had never seen you here missed it tonight of all nights ... just off to listen again so not reading posts so as not to spoil the surprise....

Fauve · 07/11/2006 20:02

Maybe he'll knife David.

orangina · 07/11/2006 21:20

Sam will definitely be a bunny boiler of some sort. He phoned her too many times on the bloody drive in and she started to get the hint, even before Pip called and declared unlikely teenage child love. "Are you still on the bypass Rooth?"... He will have to leave, but he'll do some shit stirring before he does. If he can't have Rooth, then he certainly isn't going to let Deevid remain in blissful ignorance. What will Usha do?

BoingBoing · 07/11/2006 22:15

I've never particularly liked Usha before (although never DIS-liked her), but she has been great. Just waiting for the thudding feet of the vicar.....

dh out at yoga so bribed dc into silence for 15 minutes with biscuits and boob, am in Archers heaven at the moment. I think we'll find out tomorrow that she stayed the night at Usha's.

JanH · 07/11/2006 22:37

But we don't know what happened immediately afterwards, do we...

tum-te-tum-te-tum-te-tum...

Ooooh, Sam, nooooo!!!!!! BANG! (Or, alternatively, SLASH! Or THUD!)

(Violent? Me? Only where Ruth is involved ))

Frieda · 07/11/2006 22:53

Of course, Lio - that would be perfect! Ooosha's place would be ideal and her best friend isn't likely to grass her up. No, there'll just be an awful lot of moralising and large portions of (vegetarian) humble porridge for breakfast.

Frieda · 07/11/2006 22:59

Oh, and no doubt the motobike-riding vicar will pop in during brekky and there'll be yet more moralising...

And then Lynda Snell could pop her head round the door to cast a few extra parts for the panto. Have they got a Bashful yet?

Frieda · 07/11/2006 23:01

And no doubt the motorbike-riding vicar will pop in and there'll be yet more moralising...

And then Lynda Snell could pop her head round the door and ask Rooth if she would like to play Bashful in the village panto

Frieda · 07/11/2006 23:02

Ooops - I thought I'd lost that post

JanH · 07/11/2006 23:13

Did you notice that the continuity person called her Usher last night?

TinyGang · 07/11/2006 23:15

Aaargh the 'right on down with the kids' vicar drives me mad. Did I hear him doing dial-a-vicar the other day to raise funds??

Nah! I must have imagined that.

Fauve · 08/11/2006 08:45

I noticed that, JanH - and she was trying to sound so enthusiastic about the programme - like she always listens to it herself

bea · 08/11/2006 08:49

JanH - yes! think the announcer has been watching a little bit too much MTV and not enough listening to Radio4!

joelallie · 08/11/2006 09:49

OK...new seven dwarfs for La Snell's panto..... Lustful, Throbbing, Guilty, Penitent, Angry, Violent and Psycho...
