...in the Archers?

Or is it just my devious mind?

Has the acting playing Oliver changed - he sounds different to me?

Sugarpop · 26/06/2006 12:32

Well I reckon Ed's going to turn up in the big brother house on Friday, been in hiding at a secret location waiting for his moment of fame

suejonez · 26/06/2006 12:35

that plot twist would put me right off the Archers - d'you reckon he won a spot by eating a kitkat?

At the moment - what happened to Ed is the only thing I keep listening for, am a bit bored with all the other plot lines. Even the Ian and Adam one is a bit nothingy (IYKWIM)

Sugarpop · 26/06/2006 12:36

Yep the baby thing is far too contrived!Just wish adam would cheer up a bit he's really getting my goat, time to send him back to Africa and then Ian and Brian could elope he he

cye · 26/06/2006 21:03

I liked Oliver asking Brian to 'say a few words' about the happy couple at the reception. Ho ho. That will make the bride a bit uncomfortable. Still, shame on her for not telling Oliver about her colourful past!

Well I just had to revive this thread because everything is being set up for Ruth & Sam...

...Sam telling Ruth he wished she was on holiday with him

...Sam being horrid to Kirsty because he was in a mood after seeing David and Ruth being lovey-dovey in the treehouse

...Ruth feeling unattractive and frumpy

...David's old girlfriend turning up and being attractive and glamorous

And that's just what I've heard in the first 1/2 hour of the omnibus!

Anyone with any inside information?

Anyone? Or am I alone here?

You're not alone but don't you think it's all a bit too obvious? It's like the plot thundering along in front of you so you can all see it coming. Surely Archers would be more subtle than that?!

emsiewill · 05/09/2006 21:41

Do you really think the Archers is that different to any other soap? I think they run on the same principles.

You can't deny that if someone in the Archers says "everything's going to be fine, now", that a disaster is sure to follow. Just the same as any other soap.

it is sounding so obvious I agree!

FrogBellyRatBone · 06/09/2006 20:40

Anyone else think that Will and Emmerrrrr are getting along very well these days ???

Hallgerda · 08/09/2006 08:25

FrogBellyRatBone, I agree.

Holidaymum · 08/09/2006 08:36

I think Sams going to become another Psycho stalker type. Ruth's flattered I think but she won't risk losing her beloved cows.

suejoneziscalmernow · 08/09/2006 09:02

I'm disappointed that Clarrie and Mike seem to be fizzling out

TinyGang · 08/09/2006 09:30

Ooh yes, the dinner party should be good.

The whole family have been hopping up and down to see the wonderful ex and Ruth doesn't really like doing stressy dinner parties does she?

I reckon she'll storm off all upset and run into Sam...Dum de dum de dum de dum..

sophiewd · 08/09/2006 11:19

And does anybody else wish that debbie is involved in car carshe/ plane crash?

Tommy · 08/09/2006 11:28

now now Sophie....

Holidaymum · 08/09/2006 11:30

There were a lot of goodbyes and all this new car lark and driving to Hungary business, wouldn't surprise me if a crash was being lined up, the actress is a bit on the busy side isn't she and who would want to play that role gawd she's annoying!

sophiewd · 08/09/2006 12:31

Another scenario, and this did happen alot when I lived there, is that her fabulously new expensive car will get nicked and then ransomed back to her

earlysbird · 08/09/2006 13:37

could debbie please mow down Adam en route - his whinging is driving me nuts!

Hallgerda · 08/09/2006 15:10

sophiewd, did you live in Hungary or Ambridge
