Tonight, 31st July. 8pm, BBC1.

Have you seen this graph?

I generally like to pretend that I don't know who any of them are - Masterchef is interesting enough when it's just people. I do wish Greg and John would just say "contestants" rather than "celebrities".

Gracelo · 17/08/2013 15:04

I didn't recognize a single one of next week's celebrities and very few of the ones that have already been.

difficultpickle · 17/08/2013 15:08

Who pays for their ingredients? In the old days the contestants had a budget they had to stick to. Shane's menu was seriously expensive.

Wingedharpy · 18/08/2013 01:39

Why, oh why, oh why don't they invest in a tray?
Seriously - every series they have contestants trying to serve 3 meals to guest judges.
They have no tray - so they can only carry 2 plates - and why doesn't someone open the door to the dining room for them instead of J and G just standing watching them struggle?
Just buy a bloody tray.

Davros · 18/08/2013 08:49

I agree. Is it some kind of test, carry the food without dropping it and only serve two people when there are three? It's stupid.
I can't wait to see Matthew Hoggard next week, I think he might be quite funny but very competitive.

MortifiedAdams · 18/08/2013 09:53

Or just put a littketable next to the door - serve from there!

Confused

MortifiedAdams · 21/08/2013 20:13

Four heats with four Slebs in each. Each week they are whittled down to two.

We will see JSP next week.

MsNobodyAgain · 21/08/2013 21:42

Joe was awful! And as for Les Denis's custard Shock

Speech has got this one in the bag.

Blimey, this weeks heats are defo the worse at cooking yet. I like Les Dennis even though he's not great at the actual cooking so I guess Speech is the best of the four but she's a bit flappy and looks unorganised.

loopydoo · 21/08/2013 23:49

Janet Street -Porter is my fave so far!!

It certainly wasn't one of the best I've seen, I agree that Speech will go through, Les might just scrap it, if they can forgive the bread and butter pudding, who was the other fella, I only knew Joe because he was on Strictly a few years ago.

Lorelilee · 22/08/2013 12:12

Matthew Hoggard is a cricketer, I believe. Agree that Speech and Les will probably go through.

eddiemairswife · 22/08/2013 13:55

Speech's name is Corynne Elliot.

Ellenora5 · 22/08/2013 17:37

Thanks Loreliee

Actually dread the real life restaurant kitchen part. Poor Les

Waiting for Michael to totally screw up the steaks now.

Elderflowergranita · 22/08/2013 20:16

Joe, even

Yes, it's Matthew and Speech's game really, isn't it.

Wonder if they deliberately give the more complex/popular dishes to those likely to screw up?
