It's Sunday morning. Man is looking at a job, DD is snoring, I'm alone, bitter, watching saved HIGNFY on telly. Uuurrrgghh Skinner hosting, how fucking horrible is he? I can't watch now.

What is John Bishop's voice all about? He is the only scouser I have heard who speaks like that. He sounds like a bad American actor trying a scouse accent.

I can't stand that boss-eyed one from mock the Week. Whatsisname. I find him cringeworthy to watch, he is so desperately unfunny but always looks like he is waiting for laughter and applause.

Sarah Millican. I can't imagine how that smug looking bugger has got a career.

Peter Kay. He just seems very unpleasant indeed.

Actually a lot of the stand ups of today remind me of those hideous characters who used to be on The Comedians in the 70s. Really old, stale and almost establishment. I suppose any decent comedian is likely to be on te comedy circuit and not on telly.

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/06/2013 12:09

Russell Howard, that's it.

ThatGhastlyWoman · 02/06/2013 12:16

Oh, yes- Peter Kay. Horrible. I was once bored enough to read his autobiography: I had never found him funny anyway, but reading that, it became clear what an unpleasant man he really is.

And John Bishop, I went to see him with my sister at the Edinburgh Festival before he got really successful, and he was snapping at people in the front rows for silly things like jangling jewellry etc. He came off like an arrogant, aggressive cokehead. Saying that, though, I did see him on telly recently and some of his act was quite funny.

Wingedharpy · 02/06/2013 12:17

Keith Lemmon gets my skin crawl award.

GetOrfMoiLand · 02/06/2013 12:41

Yes, agree that Peter Kay's autobiography makes him come across as a vile, aggressive little fucker. He was also excruciatingly bad at the Brits when he presented a couple of years ago.

bootsycollins · 02/06/2013 12:48

Miranda

Nerfmother · 02/06/2013 12:53

That one from Gavin and Stacey james corden - had some words at some 'do' with an older sleb and came across as an arrogant little knobber.

meglet · 02/06/2013 12:54

Skinner. I saw him live a few years ago and he is creepy. Can't watch him any more.

LittleDirewolfBitJoffrey · 02/06/2013 12:59

Frankie Boyle. I loathe him.

There are quite a few comedians I don't find funny and who make me switch off, but none are quite as bad as him.

insanityscratching · 02/06/2013 13:08

Lee Evans because of the sweating, Peter Kay because relying on the accent to make what you say funny doesn't work, Alan Carr just horrible and that coy look makes me shudder, Frank Skinner because he's seriously creepy and Graham Norton now because I think he's well past his sell by date.
Love Greg Davies though.

Mamafratelli · 02/06/2013 13:15

Agree 100% with Lee Mack. He was on Graham Norton with some real celebs and I cringed every time he spoke. He is awful and not at all funny.

edlyu · 02/06/2013 13:18

Peter Kaye - creepy
Both of the Carr brothers Grin although I can tolerate Alan for a short time
Russel Brand (of course )
Frank skinner because he came on to a friend of mine when she was a teenager and he was considerably older not.

susiedaisy · 02/06/2013 13:24

All of them apart from Michael Macintyre.

trapenfold · 02/06/2013 16:44

yes....Alan Davis what a twat! Hate that idiotic (aren't I endearing for not being clever) grin of his. I'd love to be able to watch QI but that dogs cock makes it impossible...

interesting what GetOrfMoiLand said about getting a career. Now, not a skin crawler which is the only compliment I can give him. But if there is one "comedian" who I absolutely cannot fathom how on earth he even got to be associated with comedy and IMO is so unutterably, unfunny, horrible to look at and even worse to listen to, is Johnny Vegas. I mean credit to him, he's made so much money by having a 'feel for me everyone, I'm fat and ugly' angle.

Can't stand Michael McIntyre

TheAccidentalExhibitionist · 02/06/2013 17:08

I liked Frank Skinner until I read his autobiography. What an utter mysogynisitc asshole. I have to switch over every time I see him on TV, he gives me the creeps.

Justfornowitwilldo · 02/06/2013 17:13

Reginald D Hunter. Unpleasant human being.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 02/06/2013 17:14

Frankie Boyle, just vile, arrogant and unfunny.

ClartyCarol · 02/06/2013 17:14

Christ I remember watching Johnny Vegas on Shooting Stars and he snotted and dribbled all over the desk during a drunken rant, it was revolting. Bob Mortimer's expression was a mixture of pity, revulsion and ...fear I think!

I bloody love Alan Carr though.

xigris · 02/06/2013 17:16

Another vote for Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle Envy

Bowlersarm · 02/06/2013 17:18

Frankie Boyle.
Sarah Millican.

Mind you, in general, I think they do an incredible 'job'. It must be so hard to be a comedian.

How do they think up the new material all the time?

LovelyMarchHare · 02/06/2013 17:20

I like quite a few of the people mentioned here actually and really don't understand why they would make someone's skin crawl (as opposed to just not finding them funny which is fair enough).

amusingly the only person anyone has said they like is Michael McIntyre and I am afraid that I think he's a bit lame tbh

congresstart · 02/06/2013 17:28

Lee Mack...deeply cringeworthy and unfunny.

James Corden...smug twat, something very off about him, not sure what but it's a feeling I get.

Repeatedlydoingthetwist · 02/06/2013 17:30

Lee Evans for me too. So sweaty and gurny and just not funny.

Also agree with Frankie Boyle. Used to be funny but now just desperate.
