Have just swiped the ipad from DH so I can catch up on this thread and he wondered what made me laugh so I had to tell him a MNer has called Jay Rayner a sex god and he thinks that's funny too!

Seriously though, Dale and Larkin, wtf?! They are so fab normally. I actually felt dreadfully for them both. Marcus scares me too. He isn't like the luffly Michel Roux Jr or Raymond Blanc.

The Bond girls did look like they were having fun. A good bunch.

I still love Saira and Natalie. I think Natalie has the edge though.

Girl, they both did razor clams. Big mistake. Dale had a weepy moment. And Marcus Wareing refused even to taste Larkin's pud.

Dale cooked razor clams and langoustines for the first time, didn't serve enough of anything (it was a main) and killed the flavour. His pudding was slated too.

Larkin didn't serve enough for his main either, it didn't taste good enough. His pudding was runny smoosh and Marcus refused to eat it!

Has Larkin given up? That pudding he made for the Bond girls was very half-arsed. "Didn't make the tuille because I couldn't find the chiller, shrug"

Agree, Larkin was half-arsed last night. Especially for one who loves bringing so many elements to a dish normally and his pastry was shoddy.
