Anyone watching the first episode of the second series tonight?

I love this programme. It's fascinating,if often heartbreaking. You see the best and the worst of people.

I hope the nurse is still in it.I can't remember her name, but she's fantastic, and was the main nurse featured in the first series.

I'm in floods thinking about DH and I when we get to that age :(

And the poor boy who's been stabbed. How do you do that to someone??

maddiemostmerry · 30/05/2012 21:38

The way he so carefully tied up her gown. What a lovely couple.

BigFatSpider · 30/05/2012 21:48

Oh heavens - looks like this poor lad (second stab victim) doesn't have a hope, despite their best efforts. I hope I'm wrong.

vigglewiggle · 30/05/2012 21:48

What a way to live, praying every night until your child comes home safe. Sad

SESthebrave · 30/05/2012 21:58

All these stabbings make me wonder what sort of world I'm bringing up DC in :(

On the other hand, the elderly couple and also the care from the staff do give me hope.

WithACherryOnTop · 30/05/2012 21:59

Did the stabbing victim die?

OP posts:
BigFatSpider · 30/05/2012 22:02

I don't know - but the poignant shots of the empty bed and blood stains on the floor certainly suggested it. Just tragic and makes me terribly frightened for the future :(

Clawdy · 30/05/2012 22:09

Anyone else loving doc Simon?Wink

BerryJubileeCheesecake · 30/05/2012 22:49

What happened with the stab victim? They didn't say eithe way did they?

Methe · 31/05/2012 13:04

He died. You could hear his family wailing when they were talking to the woman who was there with her elderly Dad. There was 3 stabbings though wasn't there.. the first one with the screwdriver in the eye who went off to have an MRI.. I don't recall what happened to him. The one with multiple stab wounds who died ( are they the same one?) and the one that died before he even got to the hospital.

Make you think doesn't it. I couldn't live with all that fear :(

jalopy · 02/06/2012 19:07

I watched some of the latest episode on channel 4od but now cannot access it online, it's disappeared. Anyone else had a problem?

hiviolet · 02/06/2012 21:52

Oh no, has it? There must be a reason why it's been pulled, because I Sky plussed the Thursday repeat and they showed the first episode of series one instead.

I've now Sky plussed the repeat on More4 on Tuesday but something tells me the aren't going to show the correct episode then either.

WithACherryOnTop · 06/06/2012 20:56

It's on in 5 minutes,on Channel 4.

ah waht a lovely lady

she wants to get all the naames right

FYP · 06/06/2012 22:00

No children, no family left Sad

NCIS · 06/06/2012 22:03

Jen is back, I love that woman.

WithACherryOnTop · 06/06/2012 22:11

I love her too.All of the staff shown seem like great drs and nurses, and very likeable people, but I'd still love to see more of Sister Jen.

Rose was so sweet.Judging by the cards at the end of the show it's possible that she has a few friends or family members, but she's lost so many people, poor lady. I hope she improves.

I felt so sorry for that elderly man, didn't catch his name.He reminded me of my grandmother who died last year. She was tired of life too,and just didn't want to be bothered by anyone or anything, but at the same time she was frightened of what would precede death.

Did it say what happened to him at the end btw? I think I missed it.

OP posts:
FYP · 06/06/2012 22:12

I shed a tear when Rose said she couldn't remember what she was doing when she was 29/30 Sad I can't imagine being 91 at all. The things you've seen, lived through, the memories you have and then lose. Gulp!

Was Jen that senior nurse who spoke about her nan?

NCIS · 06/06/2012 22:26

Yes she was, reminds me of some of the A & E nurses I see at work- the terror of the drunks and abusive patients but so lovely to the ones who really need it.

WithACherryOnTop · 13/06/2012 21:00

Anyone else watching tonight? It's just about to start.

OP posts:
Moln · 13/06/2012 21:26
